Took about two weeks off due to some wrist pain, felt great coming back. 

DO bending in IMP's

1/4x6 grade 8

1/4x7 square x2

M drill rod (0.2950)x7 x6

Horrido A4

First time bending a grade 8 in IMP's so felt good about that.

Last post was from Friday 10/22

Before the bending I attempted some ccs with my 148 #3 and got super close. 

Did a few with my 138 and 128 after.

Same reps and sets but right was CCS and left was MMS

GHP6 rated 128 5x5

Standard Platinum rated 118 x8

DO bending in IMP's

4.8

Getting close to Red Nail and #3 cert. Slowly but surely.

Few bends from yesterday. All done DO in less than 5 minutes except the Red Nail.

2 3/8 db handle from AASS

Same reps for each hand

140x0 broke if off the ground twice each hand.

35lb blob (half a 70)

5reps 3 sets

Wanna keep up with the thick handle db. My buddy @Waynehas and Inch that's in desperate need of lifting.

Very cool dumbbell. I have a couple loadables from AASS and they're great. Do you find it tought to balance bending with grip work? Does the grip training carryover well to steel bending?

Most of the time I do grippers followed by bending. I feel like the grippers kind of warm me up for the bending and will start warm up bends in-between the gripper closes towards the end. If I was gonna do thick bar and bending in the same workout I'd probably do the grip first followed by the bending. 

As for the carry over, I'm not too sure. I mean, having a stronger grip definitely helps with bending but I'm not sure how significant it it.

Thanks alot for the tips! It seems like half the battle is fatigue management.

Red Nail

Red took 1:15 but my hands were pretty beat up. Definitely gonna get that lower next time.

Yea, I'd say I'm pretty close. I was pretty beat up when I did this last one so we'll see what happens what I'm fresh.

Bunch of warm ups the tried a red in IMP's and failed, got frustrated and added leathers then got some PR's

Lifted my Rogue Deep dish 45's today for a bunch of singles. Probably around 6 total lifted each hand. Attempted 52.5 but the weight wasn't centered so I guess I gotta get more 2.5 and 5 lb plates. 

Arm assassin's strength shop 2 3/8 loadable dumbbell handle

Worked up to 135 and broke it off the ground each hand the did 4 reps alternating hands with 115 (4 reps each hand)

This thing kills my forearms, definitely gotta stay more consistent with it. 

Bending

2- 5/16x7 G2

3 reds in IMP's and half suede

Failed Bend spot Canada Moose bar

Red

Failed 70d

1/4x6 g8

Happy with how the reds went but felt taxed from the thick bar. Hopefully finish that Moose bar this week.

Great session from Yesterday

6 Red nails ( 4 IMP's with 1/2 suede, 1 IMP's with rubber bands and 1 IMP's no bands)

Gonna do a few more Reds in IMP's without bands then put in for the cert.

All 5/16x7 from different companies.

Quick bending session tonight

 

Got a new batch of reds (my others are from 2020 and are significantly easier)

Double overhand in IMP's and suede

1 old red

2 new reds

5/16x7 CRS from @devinhoo(took over 5 min)

1 new red and a old red back to back

New red, harder than old batch

6 assisted lifts with slight negatives in the way down
