We had a little improv grip contest in the garage today, we had about 6 to 8 guys trying to pick up the 125 pound dumbbell and the 175 pound dumbbell. Only one guy got 175 pound dumbbell. Only three guys got 125 pound dumbbell. Everybody got the 100 pound dumbbell.

That’s so awesome. Don’t get me wrong I love my family but I wish I worked with people like you.  
 

I can’t even get anyone to lever an 8lbs sledge, everyone is soft .  Which bell did you get? I bet the 175lbs!

You know I’m one of the most overly cautious people you’ll ever meet. But I’ve never once gotten nervous while levering. The thought of smashing my head on doesn’t even occur to me.

Joe - I admire your confidence.  I've never tried it so I'd probably be a little nervous.

John - Agree that these pictures are great.  And that dumbbell looks MASSIVE.  But you should hand off the camera next time and get a photo of you having fun, too...

You can do it. Just never get greedy. Choke up on the handle if need be.
