stub lift: 10lbs, 15lbs, 17.5lbs, 18.6lbs-failed ( lifted but lost it, then it stuck to the floor on the next attempts)

After talking to Ryan tonight I’ve decided to change the 5/3/1. I plan to tailor it to reach my goals better. 5 week will be to work up to a final set of 8, 3 week will be a final set of 5 and 1 week will be to work up to heavy singles. I like 5/3/1 and think it has helped me to understand how to progress, but I need to adjust it to fit my goals. Time will tell.

Glutebridges 143lbs: 3x10

Lying leg raise: 3x15

Everything felt heavy tonight. Squats were weak. wanted 3x5 at 175. should have been easy, but they were grinders. Haven’t deloaded since march? I think? I just feel beat up, time to take it easy til the grip contest. Brent had a crappy night too so I cut it short.

30 Hex: 2x1 Huge PR! have only been able to roll this around on the ground before, just picked it right up tonight right and lefty. Gave a huge Jedd Johnson roar and startled Brent as he was setting up to pinch:)

windshield wipers: 2x20

Just did some light speed squats to get back into it. Felt a bit achy from taking the time off for the competition. just wanted to get moving a bit, now I’m ready to get back into serious lifting.

Really thought I could hit 145 tonight. Looked good all the way down and off the chest, but stalled about 1/2 way up both times. Maybe still a bit fried from Saturday. Dropped back to 135 and did some singles, went fine.

Floor Press close grip 95lbs: 3x10

DB pushups close grip: 3x10

Face pulls 15 lbs: 3x15

DB rows 50lbs: 2x8

Sidebends 50 lbs: 3x10

275 felt great, I wasn’t going to try 300 but the guys pushed me into it (they didn't have to push very hard). Didn’t even break the ground. But that’s ok it was good to try, I feel confidant that it’s close. I don’t like to end on a miss so dropped back to 275 and hit a single.

Shoulder felt a bit weird after I tweaked it in the car, so took it easy and skipped band presses.

2HP: 55x5, 75x5, 95x3, 105x2, 115x1, 75+bands:9,9(repouts)

Blocks: 25blobx3, 25hexx3, 32.5 blob-cheated up and held to failx3

25hex cleans:3x1L&R

Stub: 10x1, 15x1, 17.5x1, 20x1, 22.5x1R, 23.6-fail, 15x4R,4L(repouts)

Coin: 5x1, 10x1, 12.5x1, 15-fail

Hot and humid. the new blobs are very slick, but I think are doable in a few weeks of practice. Going to try working up to a max lift on 2HP then dropping to repout with bands. Hopefully this will help to bring my pinch up as simply doing reps, or heavy singles isn’t really moving the weight up. Stupid stub, I think I hate that lift.
