lloyd80s Posted February 18, 2009 Author Share Posted February 18, 2009 I would be happy to maintain this list if nobody objects. I updated it here with a couple changes that I hope won't offend. I removed the number rankings because every time someone new tries the challenge or someone betters their time, you have to redo all the numbers below. Besides, it's just the goal to MOVE UP right? I also went back and added calibrations when possible and videos if they were posted. I gave the most weight to the time of the hold unless a calibration clearly changed the ranking. Any feedback is welcome! Videos are linked under the person's name. Matt, I'd just like to say a big thanks for maintaining this list and keeping it going, Hugo did a great job but I understand it does take time and we don't all have that at the moment. When I first got this thread up I was hoping to keep it up to date myself but once my son was born all my time just went! student Posted February 19, 2009 Share Posted February 19, 2009 Got 8 seconds with 350 (purchased from travis rush, rated at 162.4, or that is what is written on the tape on the handle and im assuming that is supposed to be the rating. Not sure who rated it.) tried w/ my COC #3 but not enough to count. Will try again after a few weeks of actual grip work. student, Great work! That's a huge jump for you. I'm not sure how to rank this, however. If you did an 8 second hold with a 162# gripper, you should be able to murder almost any #3 on the planet. Can you try and clarify the strength of the gripper? I'm thinking 162# is not the calibration. Does it feel easier than your #3? I can't get it calibrated. Does travis rush still post? I will message him and see what the deal with that one is. I just did 5 seconds with my #3 which I find harder than the HG 350. I really haven't done much beside attempt the #3 a few times a week through the end of December and January. Finally closed it jan 31st from a parallel set. I find my 3 harder than a buddies though. Don't put that in till I find out. Thanks. That sounds like the HG350 that I calibrated for Travis. If I remember right, it's narrower than a standard #3, so it's going to feel easier. Post the spread and that might shed some light on it. If it is the same one, it's a solid close. I don't think Travis posts anymore. He also doesn't return e-mails. So good luck with that. Yea it is a narrower spread. He messaged me back and said that was the rating in pounds. Thanks all. Don't worry about the video. It's pretty clear it's a 2.5 based on the appearance of the stamp and the spring. And, video proof is not required, but always welcome.
