There to move up you have to do a bar of the same type thats shorter or one thats base calibration is at least 20# higher. 20# would be alot here but maybe a 2 - 4# increment would work here since thats in the neighborhood of the precision of the calibrations anyway. Will prolly take more work from you though to keep it all straight since its not straight numbers. Or even a straight 5# increment to keep things easy. Brackets starting at 145lbs so you can advance by time within a bracket or use a harder gripper and go to the next bracket. Below 145 similar grippers go together. Is this fair? A 169lb for 20 seconds can be beat by 170lb's for 1 second. Times still don't win. Also, what stands out the most are the pounds, not the times. Guest Bullitt Posted April 22, 2009 Share Posted April 22, 2009 Did some penny holds for time this afternoon with the HG200. Here were my best times: Righty: 42 seconds Lefty: 41 seconds. First time I ever tried those. Quite painful when you let go. Also learned that you just have to squeeze as hard as you can the whole time. There is no just hard enough. If you let up at all, the damn thing falls. lol Strange that my right and left tries were so even. I will give it a run with HG250 and #2.5 later in the week when fully recovered. After a few closes, I thought why not try a penny hold. Got 3 seconds. Embarassingly low number but a step up the ladder nonetheless. Wish I had tried it fresh.
