gamidon
Patrick, I am hoping your hands eventually come around and stop getting torn up. I know how it feels... Mine right now are in real good shape, the grippers give me no problems right now. However, I am not even close to the level of grippers you are using so I am not comparing the two. Great Job, hang in there, and train when you know others wouldn't.... Greg
patrick
I'm going to start up again tomorrow. Once again I rested 5 days. I think my hands are feeling a little better so this time after 4 to 5 days on I will cut back to 4 days of rest for one or two times then try to go down to 3days rest. I'm not being lazy either my hands have been taking quite a beating so far from all the reps. I guess eventually they will adapt to this training and get stronger or fall off. So at least I will acomplish something. Edited July 3, 2005 by patrick
patrick
Ok I got some bad news. I'm going to half to help some of my friends that are moving to a new house and I wont be able train for at least 2 to 3 more days, maybe more. I did manage to get some wrist work in that I will post a little later but that will be it for a couple of days.
DuTCH
Take them with you, and when the others are tired from moving all those boxes and are grabbing a cup of coffee and a sandwich, you will take out your grippers and work out!!! That's hardcore!! good luck moving, don't hurt your hands!
FrankyBoy
Try to pinch as many things as possible when carrying those. When using a screwdriver, do that with your non-dominant hand, that will give you an extra workout.

patrick
Posting my last two wrist curl workouts that were in the 2005 Wrist Curl Challenge log. 130=5 185=2 185=5 150=9 200=2 220=6 wanted to get 10 reps on the 220 but the bar slipped and I almost sprained my wrist so I guess I got lucky. Decided to stop there for today. I was plannig on just having a light workout today but I sord of lost controll and went heavy. The weights felt light so I just kept going. 130=5 185=2 185=5 150=9 190=1 200=2 220=6 235=5 250=3 260=3 270=0 Failed 270=

wressler125
just a quick question patrick. When doing your volume workouts, do you just sit down and do as many closes as you can each set, or do you follow a set routine? As for that video of the number 4, amazing, closed and held, like it was nothing.
Holes
wow you have some intense workout! how long do you usually do these reps in? I do all mine inside an hour is that the same for you or do you go longer? incredible repping power on the #2 1240 reps in through the roof, my goal is 1000 reps at the end of this week in an entire day so that's why i wonder about your timelimit
patrick
It depends on what I'm doing that day with work and my family. Sometimes I will split the gripper workouts into two sessions. And I dont bend or do wrist work in the same session with my gripper work so when I bend and do grippers I usually do grippers first then wrist work later in the day, when I do that I'm doing 3 workouts in the day. When I do that I woud do the first gripper session at my lunch break, my second gripper workout after work, and my third session with bending and wrist work late in the day.
