makes sense... Thats some pretty good volume, to do in between... Especially with the numbers you put up.

Do you notice when you do grippers between your sets that you are stronger, due to CNS activation?

I don’t know maybe I always train grip between sets of lifts. Grippers are weird though I have days where I am way weaker and days where I am way stronger. First time I closed my 3.5 was 5 months ago on a random strong day and I think I have only ever done it once since.

When you are doing a regular workout of full-body compound lifts like powerlifts, your heart rate will elevate, your autonomic nervous system switches from parasympathetic to sympathetic (you'll have more adrenaline), and yes you will get more amped up to deliver higher output from your CNS. All my gripper work is done between powerlifts, I could not imagine doing the things I do with grippers if I was just sitting there in a chair with cold legs etc

That's me lol I am calm and collected while doing negatives with my no.4, sit on the couch between sets and use nothing but grippers for warm ups.
