SOCK BOY
Went to open mat today & ran through some false reap stuff. Helped a few people with their wrestling up tech as well. Power nap & then go to The Zoo ( my garage) & put some hooks up to hang my grip toys on. The office this morning.
SOCK BOY
The start of my grip kit collection. I’m sure this collection will grow fairly quickly .
SOCK BOY
Mon 1/4/24 Banded knee exetendions blue band 3x10 kotg 3x10 Deadlifts: 70k x 2 110k x 2 150k x 2 170k x 3 super setted with band face pulls x 10 Db rdl’s 33k x5x5 superseded with band pull aparts Squats: 60kx3 80kx3 100kx3 100kx5(belt) supersetted with iso ball holds using a table grip 5 x 30 secs switching grip at 15 secs Db floor press 25k 5x5 Axle Deads 70kx2 100k 5 x 1 suoersetted with band kimuras 5 x 10secs red band each arm Front Loaded Pinch: 30kx5 35kx2 40kx2 45kx2 50kx1 60kx1 65kx1 75kx1 Had a rough plan this morning of what I wanted to do. Basically get some base numbers & have a bit of fun. Deads were ok. Having issues with hamstrings at min. Db rdl’s were ok. Hit the spot Squats only did these as a lad I train Bjj with said he’d done 120k for 10 reps on sat. I thought I’d see how hard it was as I normally safety bar box squat. It was ok . I didn’t push myself too hard but was blowing. DB floor press was awkward getting db’s in place but comfy enough in the press. Axle Deads are in prep for my comp. Still no idea of tech but will do some homework. Front loaded Pinch I used the end off of an old barbell as the pin. I had no idea of how hard this was going to be hence the multiple sets. All in all a fun sess. Going to sort a proper weights prog sorted out this afternoon. I’m hoping to learn loads from people on the board . Hopefully people will post their thoughts & input in my training diary & I can learn from that. I’m just looking forward to having some fun with the new grip exercises.

SOCK BOY
Well it was like Xmas today. Had a delivery of grip kit that I bought with my bday money. All the kit is from Gods of Grip. I’m going to give a brutally honest opinion on my experience . Upside: kit is great quality . Top notch stuff with a great finish & I am really pleased with my orders quality. Downside: I placed the order over 2 wks ago & paid for 24 hr delivery. Fair enough a bank holiday got in the way & I can appreciate that. I tried to contact them through various social media’s & even emailed them direct but to no avail. I finally contacted them through insta . They said they were waiting on part of the order but didn’t bother letting me know. They did say sorry. They said they would post it the next day. They didn’t & it took 4 more days to post. I placed another 2 orders as problems do happen. I was charged post for the 3 orders but the order was sent in 1 box . When I opened the box it was missing 1 bit of the order. All in all quality kit but pretty poor service. I will order again as they are 1 of the only grip kit suppliers in the uk. just thought I’d let people know of my experience & you can make your own minds up. Sorry for long post Cheers
SOCK BOY
Well I emailed the company about 30 mins ago & they have got back to me . The part I ordered wasn’t ready for posting, the paint was drying . It will be posted out by Friday. They have given me a banner & refunded 2 of the postage charges. So I can’t argue with that . I thought I’d give an update as I think that’s half decent service .
John Knowlton
Same thing happened to me when I ordered from them, but I think my order was held up in customs because of the chalk.
