Might as well get the MM2 done.

I would like to cert on 3.5 first, then I will start trying to climb ladder. I can't do deep sets so I'll need to close heavy 3.5 with ccs before trying to do other MM.

That’s really impressive man. What does your training typically look like?

2-3 times a week, mainly heavy attempts with ccs or wide set. Sometimes will do a heavy attempt on heavy heavy gripper (one I cannot come as close as others).

Typically try to stick to this but lot of the time I do it when I feel like.

How many reps / attempt would you do on the days your training? Do you do any work with lighter grippers?

About 4 attempts for grippers I'm trying to close. 2 attempts on heavy gripper that I can't close. Somedays I work with lighter grippers like a 3 or 2.5 and mainly just play around try some fun challenge and whatnot.

You have a very strong thumb pad. How long have you been training with grippers?

Crazy progress, congrads. Especially impressive as very hard to get a strong close with it so far back in the hand as you do it.

Thanks, it is most comfortable position for me as if I try to push it forward more than it feels awkward.

New high scores for GM-150)

One of only 14 to break 130kg, that's awesome dude. Keep at it. Looks like you're the lightest of the top #25 as well.

And no, this is not to start an argument in Ivan's training log. But, this fact remains. Joe Kinney is responsible for a bazillion of individual GAINZ by people for the concept of Beyond the Range training.  Looking forward to you certifying on the #4 and setting history Ivan.

Damn didn't know, I only have two filed grippers but from what I've experienced I think it does help. Mainly the ending range is most difficult but the sweep isn't as hard as for other grippers rated same but not filed. This could maybe cause a weakness in the sweep motion so the best result will likely come from using filed gripper as a supplement? I'm curious to see what others would think.

I would use it as a supplement or do a cycle with the BTY handles.

What is BTY?

Posted

Beyond The Range. Referring to going past the normal range of a gripper close, such as with a filled gripper.

Bill misspelled BTY. It should be BTR (beyond the range).
