Not much time today.  I ordered some sections of hot-rolled steel to try a little braced bending.  I haven't bent any longbars in quite some time.  I was thinking a 5/8 x 36" bar would be easy, but it felt really awkward.  It actually turned into a difficult session, especially with me not approaching it like I should of (wraps slipping, improper padding etc.).  But, it was good to bend longer again.  I tried to do braced snapping too, with a 3/8" bar, but couldn't get it to break.  I had very limited time, but it was still tough.  This was the first time I tried something like this and I definitely have a lot to learn with braced snapping.

Bench felt awesome today.  Surprising, as I wasn't expecting that during the first week of KTA.  But the 305 was pretty decent, and I could've gotten another easy rep, and maybe a 5th.  I did the set of 205 about a minute after the 305 and got an easy 20 ... might have been able to get 25 if I would have rested another few minutes.

I missed my first attempt at the Red today.  This was due to hand pain from KTA.  My hands feel OK, but definitely sore, and definitely taking it's toll on my bending ability.  I got stopped at about 30 deg, then the wraps started to unravel a little bit and I didn't have enough to muscle through it.  I wrapped another one up and ended up bending it through a continuous, painful minute of all-out effort.  (These were the newer, recent Reds.)

I made a few attempts at my 140lb. Grand Master and was about a half-inch from closing it, which is kinda disappointing.  Was expecting to be a lot closer.

Bench and overhead presses felt pretty strong today.  I think I am starting to get used to the shadows in my new gym, due to low lighting, as it is not distracting me as much as the first few sessions.  KTA is going pretty good, but the challenge remains a pretty significant lack-of-time all-around.  Sometimes I am able to get some reps in at work, but lately, it hasn't been possible, which makes me do attempts in the evening, cutting into an already limited time to train.

The 67.5 just slipped on the ascent with the Hub.  The Hub has felt pretty strong the past couple of sessions, which is great, as I haven't spent too much time with this device over the past year.

I did some "harder" warmup grippers before my KTA attempts today and all three were pretty weak.  The (123lb.) #2.5, (126lb.) SM and (128lb.) GHP6 all were shut, but just barely.  My hands are pretty worn and crush strength feels down.  (I had similar ups-and-downs the last two times with KTA, so am not too worried about it.)

Gripper strength has been hit-or-miss throughout KTA, but I was able to shut my RB 280N (133lbs.) with a MMS after having missed it several times lately.

Squats felt pretty good today.  I've been doing a lot more raw work the past year +, as my knees have been feeling better and pain-free.  For years, after surgery on my knee, I couldn't squat much more than low 300s without a suit or briefs and wraps.  Slowly, I began incorporating more raw stuff as things have progressed.  Lately, I've been skipping the wraps and using sleeves, and have been happy that things keep moving forward.  One of my goals is to squat 400 raw with sleeves again (double bodyweight).  I want to keep pushing this, but am not going to do anything stupid, and cause reinjuires to both knees.  I'll keep using briefs, wraps etc, but really want to hit that raw squat!
