Raw bench and Maddog Sling Shot work today. Been putting in extra tricep work and it is starting to pay off. Also working on bringing my elbows in a bit more and even wrapped higher with the wrist wraps.

Worked up to barely missing lockout with 275 Raw. Then hit 300 X 1 and 245 X 10.9 with the slingshot. The 11th rep was very similar to my raw miss at 275. Just couldn't quite lock out the right side. All moving in the right direction though. That's a 10lb PR with the Sling Shot.

That's awesome. Although the gains are coming quick for you, remember there is still a learning curve on the Slingshot.

Looking forward to seeing you hit that 315 really soon.

Thanks! Right now I'm getting about 25 lbs out of it. Its really helping me overload my triceps and has let me do dips without shoulder pain for the first time in years. That alone is worth the price.

Squat Updates: 375 belt and sleeves. 405 belt and wraps.

I really want to nail 375 on my second attempt and give 400 a run at my meet on the 31st.

Last heavy pulling before my comp on the 31st. I smoked 510, which tied my all time PR. Weighed 242.0 exactly. The last time I pulled 510 I weighed between 255 and 260. Definitely had more in the tank, but I wanted to make sure I hit this for confidence. Afterward, I added in the Elitefts average short pro bands and pulled up to 345 + 165 in bands. Just missed 365 + 165.

Great improvements Mike! I've enjoyed reading from the first page to the last and seeing how far you've come in a pretty short time. Tear it up at the contest man!

On December 26 when I started this log, I had the following max in each lift:

Squat: 245

Bench: 245

Dead: 450

3 months later on the platform, I hit the following:

Squat: 364 (+119)

Bench: 264 (+19)

Dead: 523 (+73)

Thanks for everyone that helped me add those 211 lbs!!!!!! Could not have done it without you!

Now to start chasing those next 211 lbs. :devil
