You don't have to do negatives. Just set the DB back down to your shoulder each press. If the DB is abrasive to your shoulder put a towel under your shirt. Your press will progress much faster if you do the reps without the clean.

Thanks Mike! I was in st.paul for a few days and trained outside the garage of my moms place. I have some weights stored there for emergency workouts haha I wish I had another 10lbs to put on the bar so I could have hit 200lbs but alas :(

Training looks really good. Remember to practice commands so you don't get any reps taken away at the comp.

What else you thinking besides Sauk Rapids?

I was planning on doing Sauk Rapids, Jordan, Winkler Festival, a chance at Iowas Strongest Man (Kelly knows the details better than I do), and then Nationals :). Too much? Let me know what you think! As long as I get to nationals I'll be happy.

I will start using commands, I should have done that from the start... I have a question for you about my deadlift for reps in 60 seconds. Would it be a good idea to do five or so reps, rest five seconds or so in the standing position then repeat? I hit the wall in about twenty five seconds otherwise with 455, and am thinking the short breaks might help ATP-cp regenerate and keep more in the tank. How do you handle these kind of events?
