645 x 5 yesterday, will try 665 in 2 weeks. Best is 655 x 5 many years ago. Best reps was 555 x 14 in 2001 at a strongman comp. Mark Philippi breezed through 15 for the win. Looked like he had 10 more easy. Never tried a single, but I'm guessing 675-685 right now. I'm WAY stronger from the knees up, get 2" above the knees & I can double or more my best off the floor pretty easily. 247 BWT

That's very impressive John! You like the reps eh? What's the lowest reps you'll typically work with for the big lifts?

In an ADFPA (now USAPL) meet in 1989 I pulled 617 in the 181 pound class. That, to date, is my crowing achievement in competition pulling.

But it'll be more at the masters nats in Apr/May, right?

Pre contest, usually I try to hit a triple. In the past at comps I've been good for 80-100 lbs more than I triple in the gym, once I get the suit on & get the contest adrenaline going. I'm a big adrenaline lifter, I get a lot out of the atmosphere. And tasty ammonia. MMMmmm...

675 @ 217 in Marathon deadlift suit after squatting 725 and benching 385.

700 @ 230 raw

715 @ 232 or so in Marathon deadlift suit after a squat workout.
