  • 2 weeks later...

Went to the Coleman on 4/2 and had a great time watching the grip comp and Paul work his grip in the arm wrestling tourney). Can't believe I missed Magnusson's (sp) deadlift...I was right there too. Argh. Think I had my first experience with too many meds that day too. Took a while to get the naproxen/ibu out of my system and back to norm, so I missed Monday's workout.

Weds, 4/6:

Bench

60 x 10

75 x 10

90 x 8

105 x 6

120 x 4

135 x 2 - 1 clean, 1 not so much.

KB Bench (PVC pipe with 20lb KB's on bands)

40 x 10 x 3

Squat

135 x 10 x 3

Was going for 5 sets but I still felt a bit off due to the med OD a few days ago. Not doing that again - yikes.

Friday, 4/8:

DLs

175 x 10

225 x 10

225 x 10

Calf Raise

100 x 10 x 3

Pulldowns (behind neck)

60 x 10 x 3

Monday, 4/11:

Squat

135 x 10 x 5

Calf Raise

135 x 10 x 5

Felt good tonight. Even handled the higher rep sets better than usual. :)

Very impressive with the deadlifts.

I have been working on the deadlift for about one month and nothing wears me out as much as the deadlift.
