70 x 10 x 3 - a little sore from Monday.

French Press

40 x 10

Going from doing doubles and singles with 135 to two sets of five on the bench is a huge jump. Great job!

Nice benching Sherrie! :rock

I noticed you are also at a very strong level on choked grippers, great work! Choked grippers are one of the events at Chris Rice's Gripmas Carol in Crooksville, OH on the 1st or 2nd weekend of every December, hope you can come next year as it is a lot of fun.

It would be, wouldn't it? :) However, my log is set up as weight x reps x sets so I did five sets of doubles at 135. Thanks for the encouragement though - I'd love to be able to get 5 straight reps!

Thanks, Bob. Bench has been a weak point this past year so getting things back on track is exciting. As for grippers, I've been after that darn RB130 for a while now - about time it clicked shut! lol

Chris' meets always looked like fun - I'll keep that in mind for 2011. :)

Sorry, I need to learn how to read:) Even so, if you are doing 5 sets of 2- 2 sets of 5 is not that far away. You're putting up good volume(a decent amount of sets)and it won't be long before you'll be adding weight.

:) No worries. Yep, and I was able to get triples yesterday (yea!). I want to be really solid with 135 for the meet in Feb then go up the next cycles.

Great work Sherrie! Especially on the bench and deadlift. 135 for triples is very good. There aren't many ladies in most gyms getting even close to that. I've never seen you but I get the impression that you're on the small side too so that's even more impressive. Reading your log makes me want to harass my sister into starting to lift. I always wanted to get my sister interested in lifting - bench pressing especially. She has the build that I should've been born with. Or at least the frame for max strength. She's about 5'6" and 330-ish and naturally (untrained) strong.

Thanks, Ben. Haha - I don't think 'small' is the right descriptor but I'm shooting to get closer to it in 2011. Sounds like your sister could get some really good numbers with some training. There's a woman we lift with in the gym on occasion that is about your sister's size and she competes/runs PL meets. She's got me beat on every lift - I watched her pull an easy 325 lbs and she dislikes deadlifting (!!).
