No Minn state for me. I have some reasons I don't feel like expressing on a public forum such as this one. Nothing bad, just stuff gets taken the wrong way by people when read online. I will be doing two more contests for the year and then it is all out for next year. Hopefully, as a 231.

Keep on keepin' on.

Looks like your ontop of what you set out to do after Iowa. Jason Luce told me at fox thats how he trains stones Load one until you wanna puke. Where is that place? Mike is that your place? You have alot of stones.

Stone reps until exhaustion sounds like a good idea. Mike, is was that done without tacky?

It's our buddies place in Fargo...where we do most of our event training, in the summer at least.

Also, the DIO thing was funny because if you had the priviledge of watch MSG Svend was killing time between events and decided to sing a bar or two...priceless.

Chris- that was with tacky. I'm not sure if I'm going to have time to re-tacky. I will have to use a yoke and have someone role it back to me to see if there is time.

12" log Press:

260x12

A 12" log is as dramatic an increase as going from 8" to 10"; very different feel. Need to get a 12" log.

Truck Pull:

20,000lb no rope

43 sec

Need to get some better footwear for this.

Medley:

240 stone 60ft / ~260-275 farmers 60ft

The farmers were O2 tanks filled with water but not completely so it sloshed around a bit and made it a little tougher, very cool implements.

Light load medley deal with wheelbarrow:

fun event but should have been heavier for the HWs

18" dead:

not sure of weight, said to be just under or at 700

x 10

I qualified for nats! Here we go!!

Thank you to Matt and James for coming out to Sauk Rapids today and giving me a hand!!

It's fun to post late at night.

Looking at it on "paper" you are right, that ain't much compared to training.

Also, for those reading...that's a contest report.

Have you tried the boots on these? Good to have a mind for any necessary footwear changes...A good lesson to learn at a wimpy local contest.

Reese and I were talking about different footwear. He suggested something similiar to a climbing shoe, I will post it when he sends it to me. Your right though, have to get some kicks that will grip.

r u training??

Mike I like to use the Adidas Racer, http://www.overstock.com/Clothing/Adidas-A...03/product.html Actually they have been a very good shoe for many events.

thanks for the link Chris

I will go by Scheels today or somewhere so I can try them on first. They look good, I've just got to make sure they will fit my wide feet.

thanks again

Yoke:

35ft

325x2, 525x2, 615x2, 735x2, 815x2, 855, 885, 955

Worked on some technique and a staggered start which I think I am going to go with. Not the easiet yoke I've ever delt with but was told this was the first time anyone ever put 900+ on it.

Tire:

singles

780x4

1180x4

Pretty sure the heavy tire is the same one we have in the Wellness Center. This tire has been weighed so this is not estimated.

Did a little frame carry in here. Tried to pick the IFSA sheild from the ground but couldn't get it lapped  . I don't think anyone else has picked it from the ground but this pissed me off; I will have to give it another go sometime. Then tried picking up the Inch and Blob but well, you know...

Keg Press:

singles

210x5

230x3

295x1

I missed the 295 the first try because I couldn't one motion it and wasn't sure what to do once I got it to my chest. Got it the second try after catching my balance once it was cleaned.

Viking Press:

bunch of triples and 5s. worked up to 315

Very cool setup attached to a squat rack, I would like to look into making one of these!

tough
