In english:

I think that Chris was the strongest because he didn´t train specifically for the contest and he was up with the bests. If he didn´t torn the biceps, i think that he could have win because the last 2 movements were the best for him: one hand lift ( he can one hand deadlift 240 k) and his wrist curl too like it told his log.

On the other hand, he arrived late to the contest and he did the first two (grippers) very fast . In the grippers, he closed 3.29 with both hands and very near of the 3.54. In the pinch, he didn´t lift too much because he doesn´t have technique but his last lift was very easy. His Vbar was incredible.

I know Chris since i read an article in Milo , one issue of 2002. Later i contacted with him in ironhistory.com. His strength always fascinates me, is absolutely incredible.

Great numbers as always Jose.

If Chris can do a 240kg one hand DEADLIFT (not lift, but deadlift!) he's my hero... wow, that sounds unbelievable. That'd require some supporting grip as well! Do you know what he can do on a regular 2 hand deadlift double overhand, no hook?

I am with you Jose. Maybe he had a good chance of winning if he didnt arrive late and didn't tore his biceps.

lifsnotfair, if you read chris log I remember he lifting 270kg on olympic bar not 240.

I think that his best is 250 kg. There are some photos of him in cyberpump's gallery, in one he lifts 230 kgs in two hands deadlift overhand.

But that is on an Axle, isn't it? I was wondering about a regular barbell.

Tuesday, 10 th July

- Formulator

wrist curls: 39 k x 3, 3 sets

That's some heavy formulation Jose. Do you find it painful on the backs of your hands?

I must admit to using extra padding whenever I go above 20kg :blush

Jose, did you use a mixed grip for the 2"-bar deadlift of 225kilos ? Because if done Double Overhand that would be INSANE!!

Yes, it's painful a little bit, but with standard barbell it hurts my left wrist more.
