Hey Eric did you ever get to calibrate that 3/8 x 7 CRS that I sent Paul?

I don't think I have. Let me check with Paul.

I appreciate it Eric! I hope it calibrates at 800lbs. :D I can barely wobble it.

Thanks! That's actually all because of Ben & Chad. I had no plans for a 3rd attempt, had toyed with the 5.5" Edgin until Ben said he was going to give the square a go, reminded me of our Mag certs at the 2006 BBB, so figured why not.

Congratulations to Dave Thornton for taking down a 650 pound square bar he picked up at the Backyard Bastard Bash!

Thanks Eric. The square stock makes for a good looking bend.

I didn't get a chance to try it at the BBB. Did the bend at Larkin's Gym.

Great job Dave! Your bending is truly exceptional now. Do you think it was overall harder than a 6" Edgin or maybe on par to a 6.5" Edgin?

Thanks Ben. My bending is low volume, and I was working the longer bends for John's Contest.

I would rate the 5/16x7 Sq. harder than any 6.5" Grade 5.

I was able to kink the square, which is half the battle with my flexibility.

For myself, the 6" Grade 5 linear S was definitely harder, I was not strong enough to finish it.

Nice wins!!! great work David!

I agree - I would say the kink is harder on the square, but the crush is defenitly easier than a linear S. However, I would say the crush on the square is harder than the crush on those 540 Edgins @ 6"

At the Arizona Cactus Grip 2 Paul Knight bent a 705 pound FBBC square crs bar and Rex Hubbard did a 6" triangle Edgin. Way to go, guys!

I required Rex to recertify on his 6" Edgin bend, as he was wearing elbow sleeves for this bend at the contest, which is in violation of rule #6. He bent this last night and has since posted the video.

Great job Rex!

Pretty disturbing thought that an Edgin won't make it on the list anymore :blink
