Thanks Ben!! I know you had some stake in my success from way back and Im glad I could deliver. Im planning out this weeks workouts right now to get the final work in and then some rest all next week. 2" Vbar and Axle tonight......

So, as life is bound to do, I ran out of time last night and only got 2" Vbar in, but it was a good session.

I had time to get some blob work in last night before I had to run out the door for rehearsal.

Both hands worked equally:

full lifts with 30,35,40,42.5 right hand broke the 45 off the ground a couple times, but no full lifts.

Went down to the 35 and did a 5x5 with both hands.

Finished off with 2x5 reps with the #2.

Thanks to everyone on the nice comments, glad to see Im doing anything worth noticing to you guys :D

Did the final workouts before resting up for BBB this coming weekend.....

Saturday: The wife and I tore up carpet, painted walls and prepped the floor for hardwood flooring in one of our bedrooms. In between all the work I managed 6 sets of 10 with the #2, both hands, which is a HUGE PR for reps on the #2 for me.

Sunday: Went to the Maryland Renaisance Festival, biggest and oldest in the country, for the Octoberfest weekend which means free beer tastings and good food. They have one of the swing the hammer/ring the bell things that didn't seem too tough to me, but a lot of big guys were missing all day long using both hands. I was one of two people who got it one-handed yesterday. I'll get video up soon of my one-handed swinging and some other shenanigans from the Festival.

53lb KB swings, 40 switching hands every 10

Deadlift, DO, Axle: 145x5,235x5x5x5x5 Just getting back into things, jumping up next week on the work sets

Bench: 205x5

Pullups: BW+20lbsx10 Up to 25 next week

Axle C+P: 125x7

Curls: 75x8

Bench Dips: BWx10 Gonna throw 10lbs on my legs next week for this

Various Ab stuff, bout 10 minutes worth

This morning:

25 Hindu Pushups

Back at things, started again yesterday with the pushup challenge, did 5x20reps and 5x40 reps BW squats to get some leg work in.

Last night:

Deadlift, DO, Axle: 145x5,235x5x5x5x5 Deadlifts felt good, very strong/smooth

Bench: 195x5 Harder than it should be, maybe the pushups took more out of me than I thought

Pullups: BW+20lbsx8

Axle C+P: 125x7

Curls: 75x8

Bench Dips: BW+10x10

Various Ab stuff, bout 10 minutes worth

Ok, Im finally back, its been weeks since my last real workout with work and life always in the way.......

Last night:

Deadlift, DO, Axle: 145x5,235x7

Bench: 145x10 up next week

Pullups: BWx10 up next week

Axle C+P: 105x10 up next week

Curls: 55x10 up next week

Bench Dips: BWx10 up next week

I dropped all my weights back down to start over again and build a base back up.

Also played with sledge hammers a bit, 2 levers to the nose, both hands, with the 8lber. Threw in some weak Eaton rotations and some front lever stuff

Last night:

Some bending, 2" Vbar, and pullups.....

Bending: Last time I bent was back in early Sept, so I didnt know what to expect here. Decided a 7" x1/4 sq and a 7" bastard would be a good test of where I was. Finished the square in about 45 seconds and the bastard in a minute. Much slower than my best time on those bends, but I finished them, thats all Im worried about. We'll go from here.......

2"Vbar, both hands worked equally

65x3, 110x3, 165x3, 200x3 Was happy with this and will keep working on it

BWx5, BW+20lbsx5,5,5,5 Up to 25 lbs next week on the work sets

Thanks Ben, I knew you'd be reading if I was posting again :D I plan on going to every contest, life just gets in the way, weddings, my wife's gall bladder, etc. I feel like Ive got a good base for the coming year and I REALLY wanna go to GGC and BBB. I missed everything last year, can't let that happen this time around.

Good point about life getting in the way. You also have a very good base. More than a base, looks like a launching pad these days.
