If not, Ill do some Formulator, grippers and blob/block work, maybe some thickbar holds.

The Chuck
Back after a few days of housework and rearranging furniture and the weight room. I finally have a setup for benching and squat stands, homemade from 4x4's and lots of lagbolts and 3" screws. Includes spotters for benching so I don't kill myself. Pullups: After last weeks success with 45lbs, I went up to 50lbs today. I did way better than I thought I would, I can see 5x5 coming pretty soon at 50lbs. 2.5min rest between sets 3 set of 5 reps 1 set of 4 reps 2 set of 3 reps Military Press: 1 set of 10 36lb Kbells (72lbs) 2 sets of 5 53lbs Kbells(106lbs) 2 sets of 5 120lbs on 2" thickbar I did something to my left knee while partying this weekend, so no squats, but I did pullout my heavy speed rope, seemed easy on my knee and actually loosened it up some, squats on wednesday. 5 sets of 100 jumps, 30 seconds rest Forgot how much I loved this thing, gonna make sure I keep it out in the open so I dont forget about it! I went back for some more pullups right before bed and hit 17 reps, a new PR by one rep. I picked up a Bomb from FBBC last week, pulled 104lbs on my third try, pretty happy with that, need to get a video up.

The Chuck
Pete, I think thats my strongest gripper workout ever. I have a feeling I'll be hitting the non-easy #3 this year at BBB. Last night: Deads, DO, Axle: 145x8, 235x3, 295x2x2x2x2x2 Bench: 215x5 PU: BWx14 Axle Clean+Press: 145x2, 145x6 The two rep set was due to me forgetting collars and stopping to put them on. Curls:85x8 Tricep Extensions: 36x8 each arm The layoff last week felt good, but I hate missing workouts so close to BBB. What sucks even more is Im outta town all next week for work...... The Chuck
Little bit of 2" Vbar and grippers last night 2" Vbar: 155x3, 200x9 singles, 155x6 Grippers: #1x20 for three sets Both hands worked equally.....
FrankyBoy
You might want to try that, when training the 2" vbar: Max out first, the do a 3@3 set/rep scheme with 90% of the lifted weight. (Alternatively 5@5 with 80-85%). Doing some light sledge work before vbar training seems helpful too. Just some ideas. Good luck with your training Chuck. The Chuck
Hmmm, Ill give that a shot next time Franky. Ive never had a routine for Vbar, just kinda did it until my hands didn't want to work anymore or it felt like my skin was fall off my palm
The Chuck
Well, Im stuck in New Jersey for a week for work stuff. No weights, but I did bring my steel and grippers with me to get something done. Grippers last night: Both hands: Tx5 #1x5 Filed #1x5 Left hand: #2x3 #2.5x3 #2.5x3 Struggled through all these reps, left hand felt very weak. I had planned to start with the #2.5 but couldnt shut it at first. Right hand: #2.5X3 #2.5X3 At this point my right hand felt unstoppable, the #2.5 was closing like my #1.5, slamming shut, so I went for the #3. #3 attempts: 3 singles!!!!!!! All closed, no question, I actually felt the handles hit on the 2nd one. So it looks like Im good for a #3 at BBB in a couple weeks, which makes me happy. When I get home Ill get some video, cuz I know we need proof of this stuff.
