I CLOSED THE HG250 TODAY

i only closed it once with my right hand get within like 2mm everytime though

ill keep working on it

i think if i season it a little more ill get it consisitintly

I KNEW YOU COULD DO IT!!! AWESOME!!! :rock Now it's time to get more consistent and close that thing for several reps. The HG100, 150 and 200 are now warm ups for your work sets on the 250. Do you have an HG300? If not, you can make the HG250 harder by hose clamping the spring coils. Put a small stainless steel clamp through the hole (the bolt part up on top) and tighten it. You can make it like a "HG275" by restricting the spring spread. ;)

yea SS i just got KTA so i think ill start that sunday or moday and hopefully the hg300 will be mine before xmas and i can certify. that must be a record 14 yearold certified closing the hg300

Ive been told to use WD40 when seasoning and cleaning grippers, but will like teflon lubercante work just as well...

or what should i use. I have alot of lubercantes and oils and stuff for bikes but no wd 40 and my friend has a bunch of stuff for cars so i dont know exactly what to use

Noticed that no one had commented on ur power clean form, looks pretty good, I'd say start beefin' up the weight man, build ur ass a thick back with some snakes running up it. :rock

Just take your time with everything, at 14, you've got plenty of time.

yea

right now preaseason i took teh wieghts down so there is no chance of injury started working on speed and power because im tall and lanky so i rely on my speed and quickness(and nasty grip) to win matches

I used the clamps of my olympic wieght set and closed them a little past parrellel

Close all the way and hold(negtive) For 20 seconds both hands for 2 sets

Extensor Work

I used 3 hair tie things around my finger tips and opened my hand up

Right and Left hand: x10 x10

then i took a 5lbs protien jug and filled it half way with gravel(that cause the thing to wiegh 13 lbs) and i held it up by putting my hand in side and opening my hand

Right hand: 19 seconds 8 seconds(sliped because of sweat)

Left hand: 16 seconds 11 seconds

Contrast shower

first wrestling practice of the year sucked major ass

ran for like 30 mins (1/2 mile run, 2 1/4 mile sprints, 2 1/8 miles sprints, 4 1/16th mile sprints)

then wrestled for 2 hrs

then did this circut cardio muscular endurance thing which absolutly killed me because i was already dead tired from the previous work

all the folowing was done with no rest

it was 45 seconds of squats witha partner on your back(189 lbs) i was pumping them out and acuttly liked them :p

Then elevated pushups (feet on partners back) for 45 seconds this killed me i could not do that many pushups

Then situps for 45 seconds

then leg pushes(you raise your legs keeping them straight partner pushes them down you try and keep them up and from toching the ground) for 45 seconds... i was pumping these out i love these things

then we did a hand stand against the wall i was up for 30-45 seonds

then wall sits for 2 mins

then 45 seconds of burpees

then a set of pullups to failure then 1 assisted after failure... then pracitce was over

practice absoultly killed me.. hope im not to sore tommrow

i tryed my best to get the post nutrion down

had my protien shake and glutimeine and a powerbar

took a contrast shower so hofully i wont be too sore

today wrestling again my legs were so sore esspically my hammies... im wieghing in at a solid 187 right now right were i want to be. today we ran a mile and half my time was 10:30(pathetic) then we wrestled and did drills and stuff... then we wrestled live. I wrestled the 2 other guys in my wieght class and beat them both i was so happy so my chance of starting are pretty high... varsity letter here i come...

we then did the same circut from above and then even more like mnore pushups and situps i was completly dead by the end of practice.. got my post workout nutriton down. my pre workout nutriton sucked and i didnt get to do my contrast shower :( tommrow practices split up into jv and varsity so the intensity is going to go up :(

here goes my workout today

ran( around the 3rd floor(run half the floor then ran from the 3rd floor to the basment and back up then the other half of the 3rd floor then down to the first floor and back up and that was 1 lap i did 7(our 3rd floor is about 1/6-1/8 mile)))

then wrestle was totatly out of it dead tired hungry... tommrow we dont have to run :)

im hoping to hit the wieghts in the next couple weeks once i get into the swing of things... during live wrestling i found i need to work on my bottom, and i learned that sit sit peterson does wonders with big slow guys so ill be hitting that alot... i also learned it is easy as cake to ride legs with the big guys. i have a good feeling about this season

I know what you mean about being dead tired after practice, trying being in advanced classes when your up untill at least 2:00Am eery night it sucks. I see what u mean about the peterson im gona have to try that. Keep up the hard work you are young and have great potential. :rock

i am in advance classes and am excpected to keep a 4.0

im in 3 ap classes and the rest are honors

so i am up pretty late everynight with hw... so i feel your pain :p

Damn, at our school, we only have three AP classes! :angry:

And the wrestlers aren't expected to do shit with their grade except keep em above 2.0. We do have a good wrestling tradition tho, usually have at least two win state a year.

we have one kid that is supost to win states and a couple kids that are supost to place top 10 in states

we have a solid team except at the small wieghts

then did live wrestling and i did decent... if i learn more moves and get into the season start rembering stuff ill be good... im really big on riding legs and i got pretty much all the moves down so im solid on top... at nutral im a tad better then teh second best 189 and i suck on bottom... i really need to work on bottom

I doubt you have ever heard of IB(International Baccalaureate), but my friends who used to be in it and switched to AP say that's a joke compared to IB.

Do u live in a state with lots of good competition, I know the West has lots of good wrestlers ex:(Oklahoma, Wyoming). I don't know how the wrestling is in the East, I know lacrosse is big there though.

wrestling is decently big here

but lacrosse is reall big(infact its our states team sport)

and about IB our school has it and IB corses = AP classes

the thing is in IB all your classes are IB you dont get to pick which ones you want(exactly why im not doing it because i dont like the normal corse i want to take atonmy and pysiology and stuff and you cant take that in IB) so the corses are the same just in IB you take 5 IB classes(i think) so thats like taking 5 AP course (which i will be doing next year)

k todays wrestling practice went good ran about 10 sucides i was in the front for all of them and won the last one then we wrestled drilled went over some moves then we wrestled live i did verry good. I am not as strong or as big as other 189 but i am in better cardiovascular shape and i am faster... so i did good. I still need to workon the bottom. but its getting there tommrow i get a much needed rest day
