This week no workouts.

Stay in bed with almond inflammation, 39,5° fever and headache.

That sounds bad, i guess it feels even worse! Tons of Vit. C and a lot of water, juice and you will be up and running in no time!

Thanks DuTCH!!

I'm not in the condition to......bend?

Wroooong

Today i felt a bit better.

Yesterday I received my ordered RED nails equivalent steel.

It's a CRS 8mm x 180 mm steel.

Warmed up with 3 x 7.0 mm x 180 mm bars

went to 2 x 7.6 mm x 180 mm bars

After that I prekinked a 8.0 mm x 180 mm bar to 45° and nailed it in 5 min.

Then I prekinked the 8mm steel to 25° and bend it in 10 minutes.

Now i rest and rest until I'm "up 'n running".

Have fun and train hard

Thorsten

Today I had a great bending session.

Startet with 2 7,0 mm x 180 mm to warm up

Next I bend 5 7,6 mm x 180 mm every under 10 sec.

Then I tried my new 8,0 mm x 180 mm bending stock.

I wanted to kink them, only one time.

So I rolled my lether really hard and wow, I had kinked them. Not

only a little one, I felt it.

After that I tried to finish the bend.

In 9 minutes I beat that 8mm steel bar (New PR)

Then I tried to bend an other 8 mm. NOTHING.

Prekinked to 25° and nailed it in 3 minutes.

PreKinked the next to 40° and bend it in 5 minutes.

Now my hands are open, but hey Mr RED Nail, I come - do you here me?

Now I order a great Pizza for me and my boys.

Cheers

Thorsten

Thanks, all together.

It's great that you push me so much.

Today no PRs because I'm a wimp.....

Always have problems with my left hand, On monday I cut away the flapping skin.

Today's idea was a light technique training. After 2 7,6 x 180 mm the blood runs out of my hands. A nice hole in it....

After that I taped my left hand and tried a 8mm x 180mm.

Kinked it to 35°.

After some tries on the 8mm nail with no move, I decided to rest one day more so that the hand can heal.

Nice try......

Have fun

Today i start a next try after I had enjured my left hand.

Hand is not completely healed, but I felt a bit better.

Started with 5 nails 7,6 mm x 180 mm and nailed it.

Then I tryed a red and kinked it with leather pads. After that I try to bend, nothing :(

More was not possible today.

Then i finished 2 nails 8 mm x 180 mm prekinked to 25° with IM Pads in 1 minute and 20 seconds, the other one in 2 minutes.

What is the logical next step guys? Work with IM Pads on prekinked nails or further training with leather pads until I can bend a red ?

Your turn :laugh

Thanks.

Since your goal is the Roster, I strongly recommend to continue to work with the IM pads.

Bending a Red with leather is a nice ego shooter :D but won't really help you reaching your goal.

So you should:

1. do further work with prekinked Reds and IM pads

2. do some volume with easier bars and IM pads

Thanks Frank!!!

Why do you mean that?

Isn't it better to reach more pure bending "power" first - that I am able to bend the red with leather?

Better for the ego? Faster than the other way?

Thanks for your input my friend!

When bending with the IM pads its all in the kink.

Once the bar is kinked, crushdown is fairly easy (still talking of IM pads).

Of course you can first try to bend a Red with leather but that won't help you in the crucial part of the bend and thats the kink, believe me. :whistel

And for the crushdown it really doesn't matter if you use leather or IM pads, so I'd say keep going with the IM pads when your very first goal is the Red Nail cert.

I used leather because I first wanted to do the FBBC certs and do the Red Cert 'on-the-fly'. :inno

But even a 6" FBBC with leather isn't as hard as a Red with IM pads for me.

Folks.....it's done!

I have bend the Red Nail.

YiiiiiiiHaaaaaaaa :rock

My last RED from the ordered ones was the one which goes down!!!

The last 2 days I often think about to bend the Red, hey, the RED is so near.

bend it, bend it.

At this morning I suggest myself that today is the day for the RED bend.

And when it tooks 30 hours. I will bend a RED from kink to crush down. No prekink training. I will bend it! Period.

First I warmed up with 2 nails 7,6 mm x 180 mm.

Then I rest a few minutes, chalked up the leather pads and my hands.

After that I nailed it in 7:30 minutes (with rest included).

It's a great feeling, the 1st RED.

Now, let's Rock 'n Roll - now it's going foreward.

Friday I will work with IM Pads on 7,0 and 7,6 mm nails to get a better feeling.

Speeeeed bending and technique training. :blush

Next goal is the RED bend under 3 minutes in mid august with leather pads and also a 45° prekinked training steel (8,00 x 180 mm) in 1 minute with IM pads.

A great day.

Thank you all for your kind words!
