was the weight loss intended?

At least you didn't loose strength it seems.

Yeh, Franky. I'm dieting down to the 181 pound class to be more competitive, and probably a little healthier. I'd like to stabilize at about 185.

Bodyweight: 200

I lost two more pounds this week. But I wish I would just make up my mind, because now I've decided to compete at 198 instead of 181. I noticed the USAPL master's state record at 198 is only 600. I should be able to do a bit more than that with little difficulty. So, that's my new goal to be met at the state meet in May, down in Corpus Christi. And this way I don't have to run around looking like even more of a pencil neck. Actually, according to the Wilkes Formula, a pull of 628 at 198 is comparable to a 596 at 181, so I should be at least as strong in the heavier weight class on a bodyweight basis. I'll continue dropping weight to about 195, and then bulk back up to an even 200 by lifting heavier weight while trying to avoid any fat gain. The jogging around the neighborhood I'm going to retire!
