Good workout today. I tried the drop snatch w/o leg drive and they were much harder - I have to move faster which is kind of an oxymoron for me Still a good exercise with or without leg drive. Hit a PR on the SB C&P.

Where you dude?

You know, after seeing Tex's video of his double Inch DL, I thought of you.. because I remember seeing you Suitcase-style DL'ing a pair of barbells at 275lbs with no hook grip, if I remember correctly... So, seeing as the Inch is a bit over 100lbs LESS, in each hand, and you have a big hand... you could do a double Inch DL I bet !! How well do you do on the RT with each hand? What can you do with those thick dumbells you had made for you? Just curious.

Took some time off man - I can DL my polished handled 2.5" 180lb DB easily right, not so easily left.

02-11-08

Took a little over a week off - needed it - totally feel fat and out of shape now though.

SB Clean & Press Warm-ups - 100 x 5

Sandbag Clean & Press Medley (150-185-225 - strict press) - 50sec, 52sec, 59sec

Pull-ups/Chins (alt sets) - Body x 6, Body x 6, Body x 5, Body x 4

DB Clean & Press (clean ea rep/strict press) - 90 x 10 (5ea arm) , 90 x 30 (15ea arm) - tuff

SB Shoulder and Walk (shoulder, walk 60', open/close gate, walk 60', drop & reshoulder, walk 60', open/close gate, walk 60' = 1 rep) - 185 x 1 (tuff - way out of shape)

4 way Neck - 55x10, 65x10

Sledge Levering (combo tire taps, pro/sup and levers to nose) - 8 x 1, 10 x 1

Grippers - #3 x 1 (right only - Hard Squeeze Left)

Good workout - short, but it gassed me quick.

Morgan I am with Arturo i have always believed that you would be able to lift the inch - the lift of 180lbs on a 3'' barbell aswell as big RT confirms this. The issue with lifting the inches though is/was the grip and rotation of the bell not the weight as was suggested. Many strongmen can easily lift (and carry) 330lb farmers - nearly double the weight of the inch in each hand - for a long distance yet cannot even get air under the inch.

I agree with this also. The Inch would be a foregone conclusion and a double Inch FW could likely be done now or with just a bit of specific training. Morgan, I feel like you are in the Chris James/John Eaton group of elite gripsters who fly a bit under the radar when superlatives are being passed out. Great feats occur with little notice, perhaps due to everyone thinking it comes easy for you guys-and somehow discounting your accomplishments as a result.

This amazes me. I think of myself as a fairly skinny and weak guy with strong thumbs-yet I can get pretty good air under the Inch? Man, if I can ever DL the Inch, especially with any kind of regularity...

Imo, lifting the Inch definately isnt as hard for large handed folks - the guys with under 8" hands and stuff are what impress me.
