Ty for the kind sentiment…just trying to get better over a long period of time

LBH from IM

+90, 100, 110, 115 for both hands with the LH being easier…will up this to +120 next session for that hand at least

LH 3x10/ +110

RH 3x10/ +105…may repeat this as last set for both hands wasn’t as tidy as I’d like

My goal here is +142.5, that’s a total of 150 + including the apparatus LH & +135 RH

Might hit some volume grippers on Sunday after squatting…waiting on my CPW Pt to arrive, hopefully it’ll be about 118 on the rgc scale…at that point I’ll Have grippers all the way to 130 in 2-4lb jumps!

Have a great day

Well,

After 3 decent grip sessions in a row, I had a more middle of the road session. I think I’ll take a few days off until Thursday!

Grippers, using a 38mm Skeleton Key from CPW

WU IM T 10, BH

#1 5, BH

#1.5 1, BH

Standard Gold, RGC 96, 1 BH

LH 4 single attempts on my GG 4, rgc 110. Best attempt was 3mm away.

RH Standard Copper, RGC 103, 1 single

RH 4 single attempts with my RB 240N, RGC 122. Best attempt was 3mm away.

1 forced close per hand and 15 second hold with an IM 2.5, RGC 124.

LH 3x3 with IM 1.5

RH 3x2 with Standard Gold

Not a bad session but I’m feeling some accumulation of fatigue that might need a deload.

Have a great weekend

TYVM mate

My main goal for the year is to train consistently and keep my hands/wrists healthy for golfing.

I’ve struggled with being super consistent because of a lack of knowledge on my part and being distracted by life stuff.

So, I remedied that by learning more, setting realistic goals and learning/relearning how to trust the process. Watching guys like Ben Helms, Jaland Worley, Derek Palmieri amongst others is cool because it gives me something to aspire to but I need to wade through the mud myself and not live vicariously through them. My lovely wife who is very good powerlifter in her own right has been most helpful in this regard.

In terms of strength goals? I’m like a lot of guys, closing a 3, lifting an Inch, a Blob lift and lifting a good weight on the LBH are my main priorities.

I appreciate the kind words

Just hitting the range before I get to work and I can say the grip work, specifically the IM LBH has been helping my hands feel good

I’m going to add radial/ulnar deviation and pronation/supination as my wrist work as I feel that this would cover most of what I need for golfing

Aiming to break 80 this year, shot 83 & 89 so far

Back to it with grippers in between sets of SSB squats

Trainer 10 reps BH

#1 5 reps BH

#1.5 1 rep BH

Standard Au 1 rep BH

LH 4 singles with my GG4, rgc 110. 2-3mm, 2-3mm, 1-2mm & 2-3mm away from closure.

RH 4 singles with my RB 260N, rgc 122. 3-4mm, 3mm, 3mm and 4-5mm away from closure.

All from a 38mm block set.

Reps from a 38mm set

LH IM 1.5, 2x8, maybe 8 reps on the third set too

RH Standard Au 2x6, 5 (almost 6), 3 (almost 4)

Going to leave out negatives for a while and work on increasing reps and volume with my Standard Cu RH, say 5x3-5, & 5x5 with my Standard Au LH.

Gonna add a 4th grip session in the week, a wrist focused session done at home using my IM Wrist Reinforcer.

IM LBH tomorrow.

Have a great day

IM LBH

+90, +100, +110/1 BH

LH +120/1

RH + 115/1

Both of these had rough lockouts…hands were definitely feeling it from grippers yesterday 🤷‍♂️ I think I’m gonna separate each ‘heavy’ grip day (grippers or LBH) by placing Flask in between them

LH +112.5/ 5, 3, 3 with each set having a few floor breaks too

RH +107.5/ 6, 4, 4 with each set having some floor breaks too

I think I’ll hit flask on Thursday at home. Back is a little sore and I want to give it some more rest before I deadlift.

Have a great day

IM LBH

Took a few days extra to rest my hands and to make sure I didn’t tear any skin on my hands before I hit a heavy set of 5 on deadlifts

+90, +100, +110, +120, +125/ 1 BH

+130/ 1 RH…a PR

+ 135/ 2 misses LH…floaters, cracked it off the floor RH x 1

+110/ 7LH/2RH, 10LH/6RH, 10LH/10RH, 10LH/10RH

pronation/supination using IM Wrist reinforcer 5x10/ +7.5…nice and pumped up to finish up

Grippers on Monday I think…along with heavy SSB squats

Time to shop for a birthday cigar I think

Have a wonderful day

38mm block set grippers

Trainer  x 10 BH

#1 X 5 BH

#1.5 X 3 BH

Standard Au, Cu x 1 BH

GG 4, rgc 110, x 1 RH

LH GG4, rgc 110, 3 singles…best attempt was 2 mm from closing

RH Standard Pt, rgc 118, 3 singles…best attempt was 3 mm from closing

LH Standard Au, rgc 96, 3, 2, 3, 4, 3

RH Standard Cu, rgc 103, 2, 3, 3, 4, 2

I think I’m gonna progress my gripper volume work by trying to get regular sets of 4-5 reps and then move up. So that’d be my Standard Cu LH and my easier GG 4 RH.

Gonna do flask pinch on Thursday I think…

Have a great day

Grippers, 38mm set

T x 10 BH

1 X 5 BH

1.5 X 3BH

Standard Au and Cu x 1 BH. Cu is rgc 103.

GG 4, rgc 110, RH X 1

LH 3 single attempts GG 4. Best was almost closed, maybe a width of paper from closing…

RH 3 single attempts Standard apt, rgc 118. Best was 3mm from closing.

LH Standard Au 3, 3, 2, 1, 2

RH Standard Cu 4, 4x3

Today’s session underscored the importance of a good set. Might work on incorporating a few practice attempts at setting harder than goal grippers in over the next few weeks. Something like a Standard Fe RH and 2.5 LH.

Have a wonderful weekend
