  • 4 weeks later...

Havent been posting anymore, friday, two weeks ago I snapped something in my lowerback when I put down the dumbells after dumbell press:(

Now, almost 2 weeks later, after total rest and horrific diet I will pick up the pace from here. I can still close the coc #3 fortunately:)

  • 1 month later...

Did some grippers today, 2nd workout since almost 1.5 months time due to horrible back injury. Felt good but I have set some steps backwards. I will not give up and keep on training. Sometimes I forget to train mobility and injury prevention. Hard lessons....

Not sure how old you are but yes stretching is VERY important. It's what keeps us going and allows us to do the things we do.  I'm naturally very inflexible, like rigor motis rigid.  Could never touch my toes, a few years of yoga I can now touch my toes with my knees locked back.

Glad your back is feeling better. It sucks, but injuries allow us to sit back and reflect on how to improve.

Haha I can totally understand, much respect, I am 28 years old but my back is already pretty bad from time to time, I really notice that strechting and recovery work is crucial.

You don't need to use a block in fact I don't think you are allowed to but I can't remember where I saw that written as it's not stated on the actual rules page. You just have to visually show that they are at least parallel if not more.

And that looks like at least a 30mm block, which is significantly harder than a 20mm block (which would be parallel).
@SteinWillems1 if you just set it to parallel without using a block, I think you'll get this.

Yeah I know but I don't think any block is allowed for filming of any size just for visual purposes but I could be wrong

It's not in the rules, so I guess it wouldn't make an attempt automatically invalid. But, as I understand, the setting hand (with the block) must be removed anyway to observe the width and close clearly - because the decision will be based on this, not an external tool. So it just makes it harder + I wouldn't do it with the actual MM grippers because the block might hurt the handles.
