is the weight limit still 220 or are we going with the new 105Kg class?
I'm not up to speed on the new weight classes but yes we will be using the new weight classes (whatever they are?) for this comp.

Andrew, I believe as promoter you can pick whatever weight cutoffs you want for the purpose of contest placings and awards.

For records tracking, no matter how you place in the contest, lifts can count toward the following weight classes:

Men 59k, 66k, 74k, 83k, 93k, 105k, 120k, 120k+

But it's not like you have to represent all those classes in your contest.

This is correct. You do not have to run all the weight classes. We just ask that you weigh everyone per the guidelines so the lifts can be slotted accordingly.

Can someone have Brendan email me? I was going to send some sponsorship items, BUT I can't find in my records if I sent them, and it has been quite a while since we talked about it, and I can't find where we talked about this.

Thanks.

Jedd

Thanks for the offer. We'll just be using rated grippers for the comp but others may like to see them.

I had a blast this weekend and the comp was run well! We had 20 compeditors, 5 events started a little after 10:00 Am and were done by around 6:00PM. With running everyone through a 4min medley I thinkg that's great! Brandon, Greg , and the other guys did great getting it up and running and Andrew, Doc, and Chirs were great with the judgeing and all the other guys that pitched in loading and what not . I wished I would of done better but I qualifyed for Nationals so that's what counts. Thanks for putting it on guys! It's always fun times at Durniant Strength!

Thanks for a great event and for everyone who helped and sponsored and assisted. This was my first Grip event and I only decided to enter about 2 weeks before the event. I was happy to get some base numbers for myself since I haven't concentrated on any Grip stuff yet but this gives me some ideas now. I had fun meeting new people and chatting about things and watching some feats of strength in person rather than just in videos online. I'll be back at some point I'm sure. Cheers!

this is chuck penzenik. i participated in this event. everything i did was a PR so it is hard to not be happy with that. although many of the things i did were actually my first attempt at it. i learned a bit and got to meet a lot of great people. the sharing of info and camaraderie among the competitors was great. time to raise my level a bit. some homemade grip equipment will be finding a home in my garage soon.

I believe we will and the date will be Saturday, February 2. Open class but the medley will again be geared towards the novice/beginner competitor.
