NavyDave
You guys are out of your minds. Back squat. You can train it all the time and nothing builds more muscle. Deadlift is great but you can't train it very often if you're using real weight. Squats can be trained almost every day if you vary the intensity. Heavy squats with no belt will strengthen the back at LEAST as well as deadlifts can. Deads put a disproportionate amount of weight on the low back, so you can't do them often at all without overtraining the low back. Anyone who has done a hard set of squats with no belt knows that it will blast the core, front to back, as well as basically everything else. While I agree that squatting with no belt has increased my core strength better than anything else, I can't get over my love for the deadlift.
