EricMilfeld
Yeh, and we can all wager on the winner. With so many freakishly strong athletes showing up, my money's on the guy who has the most fire in his belly.

mobsterone
It's the name of one of the sponsors - Total performance systems. My sponsor sent me the polo t-shirt, vest and hoody today. Nice

Jedd Johnson
That list is awesome. I can't wait for the day, man. One more week! Total Performance Sports is located in Everett Massachusetts. It si run by CJ Murphy. It is the foremost training camp for strongman and other strength athletics, but at the same time offers routines for other specializations, including general fitness, rehab, and martial arts training. CJ is on the board. His handle is Murph TPS, I believe. He speaks with a cool accent, although he will tell you that it is everyone else in America that speaks with an accent. -Jedd-

OldGuy
Any picks to win this thing? My pick is Tommy H.
SqeezeMasterFlash
It's going to be a tough fight for whoever wins! That's a great field, lots of really strong competitors. Oh how I wish I could afford a plane ticket!
mobsterone
There are a bunch of guys very strong in certian areas - 3 or 4 great benders for example. Then there's 2 or more great, great gripper guys and so on. There are a few who have competed before and so have a good chance of placing high. It remains to be seen as to who is a good all rounder and good enough as that to place high across the board and win. As we have seen in strong man comps before you don't need to win every class to win overall.
Mikael Siversson
Any picks to win this thing? My pick is Tommy H. Hard to say. I don't even know if they are using a simple strongman style scoring or a formula. I doubt T. Heslep will win, as I have a vague memory of Tommy having a less than world class thick bar ability (add to that his grippers related injury). I would guess that Dave Morton wins the grippers (with Rob the younger in hot pursuit), Tommy Heslep the pinch (pushed hard by the Vigeants), Jedd Johnson the v-bar (just ahead of Eli), Mobster the RT (with Rob the younger a distant second) and Dave Morton the bending (followed by Clay). Overall winner? Rob (the younger) Vigeant is my pick (truth is I have no idea really).
smitty
Steve: I posted it sorted alphabetically by the last name....
David Horne
Mikael is usualy very astute at picking the placings. Anyway, it will be a great contest and the winner will be the one who has chosen lifts correctly, used good techniques, psyched when needed, and even had a bit of luck. I think it will be between 5, Tommy Heslep, Rob Vigeant (the young), Dave Morton, Clay Edgin and Steve Gardener. I believe Vigeant can win it, but will go for a little bit of an outsider in Steve Gardener. I think if he does all of the above he can do it. Go Gardener! Go England!
