strongman1
Very nice DL and log PRs! Those carry and drag medleys are looking brutal. I'm going to have to set something like that and punish myself, but secretly enjoy it of course.

carusom1
091513 Front Squat: 525 x 3 575 x 1 After watching a front squat vid, via Dan Green, I noticed what I was forgetting to do in my setup under the bar so it wouldn't choke me out. Once the bar position felt more comfortable I was able to start pushing more weight. I wanted to hit 600 for a long time now, and will have to keep up with the movement to hit that goal. carusom1
Kelly and Matt- thanks for the support! Log Clean and Press: 20lb jumps from 330 to 450 Didn't get credit for 450 but had it locked out when I stepped off the front of the matte and lost my balance. Next time. I thought maybe I good for around 460 but will have to wait for the next opportunity. Yoke: 950 x 75' Jumped the gun and got a penalty (I don't know how much), but my time was just over 15 sec with penalty. Not sure but this may have been close to a PR time once I find out what the penatly was. Wheelbarrow Medley: This was setup different than previous years and how I was training. The wheelbarrow was loaded, carry, loaded, carry, loaded, and carried once more. 230 keg / 270 keg 25' 330 keg 25' 250 sandbag 25' 40 sec flat Stone Carry and Load: 20' carry 350 (~10 sec) had the 410 at the lip to 56" but couldn't get it over. Tough event! Keg Press Medley: 230 / 230 / 270 / 270 / 330 (spaced about 12' apart) I thought I would win this event for sure but just couldn't get the 330 keg cleaned. They had loose rock inside and it was a pig (didn't expect that). 18 sec for first 4 kegs Deadlift: 750 x 3 (dead stop) It was supposed to touch-and-go but a guest judge changed the rule at the last minute. I hadn't trained this way and it showed -- I was expecting twice as many reps touch-and-go. My first rep was the easiest I've ever pulled this weight, it felt like 225 was on the bar, but I gassed out quick. Farmer's Walk: 330 tanks x ~60ft Huge PR on these implements, but I was hoping to make it at least one length of the track (75'). Previous two years I basically didn't take these anywhere. Will keep improving here! Suicide Medley: 230 keg x 75' 250 sandbag x 50' 365 duck walk x 25' (The inside of my knees are totally beat up from this stupid thing) 1000+ sled x 75' In just under 90 sec. This is the first time I finished this medley and it was 15' further than previous years but I still need to improve on the sled to keep up with the big boys. Overall, ended up in 4th, which isn't too bad but I can do better. Thanks for the support to those of you that follow my log!
