Shrinking An Image

Microsoft paint can be used to shrink a picture.

1. First you want to shrink the size of the picture. Once you've opened the picture in paint, press Ctrl+W on your keyboard. This will open a window that has the option to Stretch the image. Make the percentages less then 100, and the image will get smaller. T

2. Then you want to save it with a compressed file format. To do this, choose "Save As" from the file menu. Below the box to enter the file name, you will see a box labeled "File Type." In this box, Select the option that reads "JPEG (*.JPG;*.JPEG;*.JPE;*.JFIF)". Now enter your filename and choose save.

The saved picture will now be smaller than the original. To determine the exact size, right click on the file. A menu will pop up. Select the properties option. On the pane that appears, there will be a Size value.
