JustinH
I just recieved my CoC#2 and closed it a couple of days later. It feels like quite a jump from my #1. Now I just have to get reps off with it so I can go onto the #3. I also broke my personal best on the deadlift, 490 pounds. 7 weeks ago I could only do about 430. I've been doing a Ed Coan deadlift program.
Lyle
if you think #1 to #2 is a big jump wait for the #2-#3, much bigger jump, but stick to it, what's the point form of the Ed Coan deadlift program?
JustinH
I got the program from my trainer but I found the workout on the internet. Here's the linkEd Coan deadlift program I would recommend it to anyone that wants to get their deadlift up.
Meat Loaf
so for work sets, you just do one heavy set a workout at whatever % for 2 reps, and then lots of speed sets? MEAT
JustinH
No, I worked my way up to the heaviest set. My trainer set it up for me. I usually started with 135 for 8, 225 for 6, 265 for 4, about 300 for 2, then on to 350 or 370 for 2(depending on the week and how much the ending weight would be). Of course then do all the assisance workouts that are on the link. I still have a few weeks left in the program. I started with about 430-440 and he thought I'd get to about 460-465 at first. I think I really surprised him when I got a 490 last night.
