I seek to gain strength in the purest form in all aspects. Thus I favor strongman and old time strongman training but Olympic lifting and powerlifting become a part of those. I also happen to enjoy the physique building results of strength training.

Powerlifter here.. Everybody always tells me you should cut you'd look great. Then somebody told me this. Tons of ppl can have great bodies but only one person can hold a record.

yeah I hear the cut thing a lot too, usually from some personal trainer with blond highlights, cologne, and bleached teeth. I just like to stay lean enough to see my abs, other than that I'm after strength. When I know I'm going to be headed to the beach or pool I just restrict my carbs and up my cardio about 2 weeks out and I'm "cut" of course my strength level is about that of a 12 year old girl. I feel like getting cut is just a trick and anybody with the discipline to diet down can do it but strength is something that you have to earn, assuming you're drug-free.

I voted for everything, but my main focus is strongman. But if the oppertunity came alone i would love to compete in powerlifting.
