Question Regarding Block Wt. Training

Hello everyone, I have a question regarding training with block weights. How many times per week can I train my pinch grip with block weights without overtraing? Currently I tain cursh two to three times a week since I completed the kta program. I just recently started incorporating block weights and hammer levering once a week.

What has been your experiences with regards to block weight training without overtraining and sacrifycing your crush strength. Btw I do my block pinching after I finish with deadlifts, bent over rows and farmer's walks.

Thanks in advance.

I would do them right after your gripper training.

They will not take anything away from your gripper strength.

Gottenmyyou from Japan trained for the # 3 by only using blockweights.

He is a certified COC and belongs to this board.

Block weights twice a week & grippers twice a week(never on the same day).

My hand strength is growing like a weed.

I think it depends a lot on how hard you're working the block weights, but I agree with the others 1-2 a week.

Yuichi, what all are you doing with the block weights?

Currently, I lift the 1/2 70#, 5-6 times for max. time, then lift the 1/2 60# with 3 front then 3 rear fingers, then lift the 1/2 50# with first 2, middle two, and last two fingers, then attempt it with 1 finger, and finish with 2-5mins. of overhand tossin' with the 1/2 50#.

Then I move on to my Squeezer and really finish off my pinch:

:flame = how my thumbs/fingers feel after this

Just full deadlift & holds.

I'm working with the 47.5lbs hex blob.

BTW..how diffcult is the 50lbs blob compared to 47.5?
