f1perez
For those of you who have mstered pinch gripping & thick bars, which of these three feats would you consider the hardest? Pinch lifting the blob to a full deadlift. Pinch gripping two old york 45's/ Deadlifting the inch dumbell/ My long term goal is to be able to accomplish all three. I know that all three feats are somewhat related and that they require a world class grip. But for for of you who have tried all three, which do you consider the hardest feat? f1perez
Thanks for your reply rob. Are those the old wide rimmed york 45's that you tried?
showlarson
This is maybe not what you are looking for but here goes: I have any easier time lifting the inch compared to the blob (50) which I could only hover, I have never seen the old york 45's but in my gym we have thick and smooth Ivanko 45's that are horrible to pinch and can barely budge. So I guess I would say easiest Inch, blob, hardest being thick 45's
Jedd Johnson
For me, the blob came up the first day I saw it. I lifted the inch a few inches off the floor in front of Phil Fister at the Arnold Classic and won a box of candybars that they were calling "supplement bars." I still can not make even 2 thin 45 plates come off the ground, let alone pinch two wide ones. So my list goes easiest to hardest like this: 1. Blob, 2. Inch, 3. 45 Pinch. -Jedd-
Rob Vigeant
Thanks for your reply rob. Are those the old wide rimmed york 45's that you tried? No i never tried the old ones but if they are wider than 2 3/4'' together than i WON'T be able to lift them. 2 1/2'' and narrower are the best for me.
