danegarreau
Ok u will probebly want to stat out with a 25 or mabey even a 10 depending on your strength. Grasp the weight with your fingers along the flat part of the plate and your thumb hooked over the lip. like you are trying o pinch grip it. Then just lift it off the ground and do a normal dumbbell curl with it. By the way there are some good videos in the gallery.
bender
It's pretty easy, first you go to the top of the screen and click on "Search", then you type in the word "Plate curl" and hit enter. It's that easy... There's a plate curl and wrist curl. Start by pinching the plate over an edge, thumb on the flange side, fingers flat against the flat side. The plate curl is a standing one-arm curl where you curl the plate up in line with your forearm, keeping the plate from flopping to the floor with intense finger strength. The wrist curl is the same thing, only the forearm is supported by a bench or knee, and the plate is curled in the same manner using just the wrist. Hope that helps. Also, go to the grip gallery and search for a picture entitled "plate curl". There's a lot of great picks of dudes curling 35's and 45's.
