SqeezeMasterFlash
I've been doing wrist curls with my 2.75" handle dumbell and I'm looking for poundages to shoot for. Anyone else here try these?
SqeezeMasterFlash
Got up to 55lbs per hand today. Definitely a total hand, wrist and forearm workout.
Jedd Johnson
As we saw about a dozen times, Shrug manhandled what i would say to be maybe 80 pounds on roughly a 2.5 inch handle at the night of strength on a dumbbell implement made by atomic athletic that was called the hydrant dumbbell. Both ends looked like firehydrant tops and could be filled with shot. Your lift sounds great. Not sure what I could do. Shrug did nearly 20 reps multiple times, and I could not do one rep. You and I both know you have tougher wrists than me, Jeff, ya hammer leveragin' son of a beeeyatch. What do others think on the specifics of those implements? -Jedd-
f1perez
squeezemaster, how many reps did you get per set? How much can you do with the plate wrist cur?
SqeezeMasterFlash
55lbs is a one rep max. For plate curls I've done 10 reps on a 25lb plate, but can't quite get a 35 strictly. Need to get a preacher bench. I don't do plate curls much though, just plate wrist curls, where I usually rep 20lbs (two 10's togethers) and sometimes max out on a 25. JeffPeterson
I've been doing some 2.5's wrist curls with about 75 for 10-12 reps.
f1perez
Those are pretty good numbers sqeezemaster. I'm sure all the levering you do with the sledgehammers helped you gain a stong base for wrist strength.
odin
How much can you do with the plate wrist cur? Wouldn't your dog prefer frisbee?

What kind of reps were others doing with this implement loaded to 80#? Good grief. What else did SHRUG do?
Dan Cenidoza
I thought they were 100lb bells. I've got a picture of Jedd pressing them overhead. I'm going to try again in a little bit to post some pics, if I can't I'll email them to wannagrip.
Bearcat 74
They were 100lbs bells. Shrug did some wrist curls with them. Several sets for reps if I remember right. He also did a neck lift of 140lbs for some reps, closed a 3 or two for some singles, lifted something on the dinnie ring (pretty good poundage and with 3 fingers I think), tore a deck of cards, plate wrist curled a 25, and he farted.
