burkhardmacht Posted February 15, 2004 Share Posted February 15, 2004 Yes, low volume at first! If you can do sets of 10 reps with the trainer you should go on with the #1. Perhaps you can add cheated reps with the #2. But strapholds are good too. For me, cheated reps are better - you have to test and decide it whats better for you. To gain strength consistently you should add a few other exercises to your program: perhaps rubber band-extensions (cost=0, benefit= great!) and some pinch gripping. B.
