AdriaanRobert96
So just a fun challenge I like to do once every once in a while is to take my sub maximal gripper and go for reps. That for me would be the #2.5 which I got 30 reps with. I got 7 reps with the #3 but that was more of a max What’s your max reps with your sub-maximal gripper? Note: This isn’t meant to prove anything more than endurance I think, but it’s fun and gives you a hand cripping pump Edited October 14, 2023 by AdriaanRobert96
C8Myotome
When I got a grip genie 3 I did like 30+ credit card reps on it before deciding that this was a gripper for somebody else
Nuttgens
27 reps on a 2.5 but I had to do them somewhat slow and wide or else the camera couldn’t really see what was happening

stranger
When I think of gripper reps I think of @Nuttgens. Here a #2 for 25 with a good hold at the end. I do these sometimes after my main sets just for fun. also got 7 reps with a #3 rated 148 I think my best with a 2.5 is like 15 2 1

EmilBB
I've done 20 parallel-ish reps with an average #2.5, also once did 100 click reps with my #2.
Fist of Fury
From memory, don't know the exact numbers on the #1. COC#1 average - 60-65 reps 20 mm block set. COC#2 easy - 39 reps 20 mm block set (might have done over 40 one time also with a really easy #2.) COC#2 easy - 30 reps TNS. COC#2 average - 30 reps 20 mm block set. COC#2.5 easy - 18 reps 20 mm block set. COC#2.5 hard - 12 reps 20 mm block set. COC#3 average - 5 reps 20 mm block set. #2.5 and #3 I really never tried my true max with however. I was more into actually training and I never got time to truly test my max reps on those during that period. The hardest of all these was the #1, that hurt in every possible way. Don't remember the exact rep count, I tried it several times, always ended up in the 60-65 rep range. I would say when you go over 50 reps, it really starts to hurt, I just want to puke at that point. Doing TNS closes is way easier when you reach a certain level, since you get more rest. Using the 20 block set on each rep gives you way more time under tension. I would say if you use 50% or your 1RM then it should be easier to do TNS closes because of this. Lucasraymond
My warmup set with grippers is #2 (105) x 10 and then #3 (139) x 7-8, but occasionally I will try to AMRAP that #3; the most I have ever done with the #3 is 17 parallel closes RH and 9 LH.

When you write all this it feels like I am reading my own maxes I am pretty much in the same ball park Super solid reps with all grippers indeed, imagine doing 10 with the #3.5 Dang, imagine doing atleast 2 in a row tbh.. that’s my goal. Lucasraymond
I think there are multiple protocols that can work but each person needs to test and figure that out and each implement style may require a different training style. I make good progress with friction lifts (pinch, vbar) and grippers using x2 or x3 rep schemes but thickbar doesnt progress as well with that for me.
