Learned a lot about fab’ing w this one.  I tried a few times prior and then asked my welding buddies.  Had torch each block until it was red hit before I could weld it (and it was still a crappy job - but worked for an inch)

it stills looks good. I know what you mean. There were a couple times were in the middle of building something I had to stop and rethink the process .
