Rental_Shoes_
Figured it might be a good idea to start tracking mythoughts and my progress from time to time. at least some of the notable lifts and things/technique I have learned throughout my experiences. Big PR today - 85lbs inch Pinch, feeling real psyched with my new home grip setup. feel i can be more consistent and less distracted as opposed to in the public gym. incorporating a lot more 60-70% 1RM holds which seems to be helping and the increased time under tension seems to keep my fingers overall healthier as it may push more fluids in general. been helping with my synovitis and synovial fluid production. starting to focus more on longevity instead of going balls to the wall 24/7 and attempting max pulls constantly. https://www.instagram.com/p/CvBTAwluOQL/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
Blacksmith513
Nice work. I like doing holds also. I hear you on the no more going balls to the wall. These days i'll just keep them in one place. 1
Rental_Shoes_
Decent grip week. getting a lot more comfortable with the inch. managed a near 10 second hold and have begun to get close to a high-pull. dropped more weight for climbing so am sitting at 180lbs right now. Notable feats this week: repeated 250lbs jug 85lbs inch pinch - https://www.instagram.com/p/CvBTAwluOQL/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== 205lb one arm blue fat grips deadlift- https://www.instagram.com/p/CvEG_fduh3L/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== and a fun feat that's maybe not extremely grip specific - 200lb barbell air transfer - https://www.instagram.com/reel/CvGK3IrNSns/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== feeling psyched but pretty overwhelmed with training for climbing grip and calisthenics all at the same time, but at least there is good crossover.
Rental_Shoes_
Felt really off mentally this week... and quite physically pained as well.... but really tried to channel that into my training...and it paid off! some feats from this week: 2 x 35lb plate transfers 180lb 2.5 jug transfer https://www.instagram.com/reel/CvqJmicN4Z7/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== 116lb Saxon bar (one handed) https://www.instagram.com/reel/CvpwYHWtEkF/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA= 78kg inch high pulls + one arm hang with 78kg inch https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cvn11vst3CZ/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== https://www.instagram.com/reel/CvkyLOFNovU/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== also, something not so traditional grip specific. 8mm front lever walkup - https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cvnd_-dtXtH/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== Really trying to tune into the nuances of all my lifts - hand placements/chalking/ rest periods/mindfulness of the lift/ not be afraid of the weights etc. ...as well as post session a few times into the evening, warming up with light weight to promote blood flow and then cool down again right after, I repeat this a few times throughout the night and it really seems to be helping with pushing fluids -> active recovery and conditioning. feeling overall healthier compared to weeks and months prior. CNS in general is finally back from the dead as well, deload successful. Edited August 8, 2023 by Rental_Shoes_

I know, i'm at the point where all my 2 handled lifts are more or less 1 handed for a really strong grip athelete. Which isn't bad when you think about it, to be like half as strong as some of these guys. Nice work man.. Sometimes the mind isn't there, but you still gotta put the time in. Rental_Shoes_
Rough week all around, did some decent feats but just feel fatigued all the time, failed all my birthday PR's today but oh well.... feel my baseline strength is coming up even being tired tho. Some feats this week include: 135lb chain transfer, 50lb Finnish ball transfer, 50 lb inch pinch transfer https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cv8hiOVtUGy/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== 75 lb 2 finger IM BB pinch https://www.instagram.com/p/Cv0p1VhO1ue/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== two finger 2 35lb plates high pull https://www.instagram.com/reel/CwENKOSpv-U/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== + 3 25lb plate pinch (Repeat) Hoping next week i feel a bit more energetic and less fatigued. Personally I'm taking a break from them because I think the dynamic aspect contributed to my tennis elbow issue earlier this summer. Just something to watch out for...

Just something to watch out for... yes, most definitely! thankfully being a climber, i have really toughened up my tendons and the relevant connective tissues from dynamic movement and jumping where it doesn't seem to be too much of an issue, but i always try to be careful! thanks for the heads up!

Rental_Shoes_
fun week! got my rolling thunder which i really love, I understand the hype around rolling handles now, happy with my first couple lifts 100KG and 200 pounds thumbless, as well as a 78kg transfer https://www.instagram.com/reel/CwWbqCMpAPy/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA= got another chain lift so i could do weighted pullups on two - 170lbs added and 100kg static hold. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CwYf4cFJOoy/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== almost done with all my intermediate and advanced grip goals which will leave me with my long term elite grip goals like inch clean, blobfather, 2 45lb 2 finger plate pinch - as well as pushing my numbers on implements i have already maxxed on. psyched! felt good this weak despite my shoulder pain from climbing, focusing on the relevant rehab protocols. Rental_Shoes_
Playing a bit of catch up because I didn't report for a couple weeks Recent feats include: 232 lb rolling thunder 200lbs thumbless RT 200 x 15 reps RT 2X bodyweight 365lb fat gripz pull - weight cut crux Little big horn one arm pullup 2 finger and thumb 3 25lb + 2 35lb plate pinches 85kg inch lift!!!! Super psyched about this one!!! --- onwards to the 95kg inch I recently received which is a life goal of mine! - baseline strength is definitely improving and I don't feel as desperate and having to dig as deep every sesh to maintain or improve to reach goals
