My recent powerlifting contest! (June 4th)

Very pleased with my last meet! I reached several goals I was chasing for years.

1. Class 1 powerlifting total of 685kg/1510lbs
2. Broke the 1500lbs total barrier
3. 20kg/44lbs up on my last year's best total of 665kg
4. Very close to 700kg total
5. That's the number I missed last winter, the 265kg/585lbs deadlift
6. 20th powerlifting contest
7. Hit double bodyweight in the deadlift again since 2015 right before I hurt my back (pulled 540lbs at 115kg/253lbs when I was healthy)
8. Much lighter than last year's contest at 132kg/292lbs. Last year I was 138kg/304lbs

*I turned 42 just 5 days after the meet

I'm attaching all 3 videos, don't wanna spam the site too much... Enjoy!!!

Thank you! I've done enough meets to know my aging body 😂👀

That's awesome, and special congrats on the deadlift. It must be a great feeling to overcome an injury and get back to where you were. That's good inspiration for others to keep hope alive and not let setbacks define your life for you.

Appreciate it very much. Sorry it took me 2 weeks lol. It was very gratifying indeed and I saw the other day I was No 30 in the world, not too many people powerlifting above 40 of course but it felt good to see it. Back to the drawing board! Let's see what winter will bring 🤝
