Blacksmith513
I was literally going to make a topic about this today. I have a rope in my attic but i cant climb it because the ceilings arent high enough. Yesterday at my brothers garage hes got chain hoist or whatever you want to call it hanging from his ceiling. I climbed up most if with but chain kinda hurt my youknowwhats and i stopped. I was proud i climbed it without using my legs. I think it's a great addition to any grip workout, at the very least rope pull ups.
Climber028
Ropes are great, I look at them like low impact conditioning for grip in the same way pushing a sled is for the legs. You don't need a high seeking, you can attach a rope to a loading pin and just curl it up and down a few feet at a time to build volume. I also have a cable machine so I'll hook my rope to that and just go back and forth, can even do it in a bunch of different angles, pronate, supinate, can go backwards to have a pressing movement as well. Best thing about that is you take out body weight since many people are too heavy to actually climb a rope without getting elbow issues.
