Ole' Puller Posted November 23, 2021 Share Posted November 23, 2021 "Assistance training": • Offset axle bar deadlifts/ 4 x 8 reps with light weight • Leverage block curls/ 3 x 8 reps with light weight for reps "While there's nothing else but actual steel bending that provides direct assistance for bending the steel itself, I've found that exercises like offset pressing, shovel tosses (with or without weight) and offset deadlifts to be of a great help in strengthening the entire torso which provides lots of stability across the board. Usually I follow a heavy/light principle .. on the light days I go for reps with minimal rest and on the heavier lifts, singles and doubles work just fine with longer rest periods between sets.
