I feel that this block weight has been a bigger challenge fore me to lift than the Blob, so although it is a straight sided implement, its additional weight negates its straight sides.

Jedd:

I ask because I have a 95 lb hex like your 110 in the video. I can lift it fairly easily. I have never tried a blob and was just wondering whether I could likely lift a blob.

Very Nice!! It has taken me a long time to get from lifting a 30lb hex blob to a 40lb hex blob. 55lbs is an awesome feat! :bow:bow:bow

Well, it is tough to say. I lifted the 110er again tonight, but failed at least half a dozen times before that. It was not until I got angry and turned the thing over that I actually lifted it tonight. I high pulled it to above my hip. I do not have it on video. What I'm trying to say is that this thing is extremely slippery, and sometimes the grasp you get on it is pure luck. Perhaps if another person had half a 110er, theirs might be easier. I am just not sure. The only thing I can say for sure is that I am not even close to as consistent with the 110er as I am with the Blob I purchased from Rick Walker.

It is an interesting discussion. I'd be interested in reading what others think who have picked up big hex heads.

Love that video Jedd. I remember reading one of your posts about the difficulty of lifting

"Blob Barker" by the face, and was wondering if you'd done that yet. I've tried it as well, and it is a very long & stressful stretch for my hand.

I like the way he tries first with his left hand, and budges it a little. Not deterred he switches hands and picks it all the way up! :bow

A few interesting things about this thread, video and feat:

- I basically could not lift this thing from like September 2003 until April 2004. For what reason, I do not know.

- Is that really how I used to write? I sound like a total moron?

- I used to think this feat was something, until Richard Soring cleaned the Diesel Block face high with weight added on and then proceded to farmer's walk with it at Night of Strength II.

- Since watching Richard dominate it, I have since PR'd the block, being able to walk around with it too.

Thank you to whomever dug this out of the archives.

Whoa!!

Steve W., Like I said the other day, I love Block Weights, baby.
