Weakman
I´m trying to kill off the IM certifications. This log will last forever! Age: 34 Weight: 115-120 kg Training years: 20+ Grip training years: 6 Equipment: Grippers, hub, RH, pinchblock and nails. Current stats for the certs: Captain of crush: CoC #3 (152) 4 reps Crush to Dust: Rolling Thunder 70 kg (actually a RH), Hub 12,5 kg. No chalk and loading pin not included. The Red rooster: Barely kink the yellow nail. Recently started with bending so hopefully there is room for improvement. Method: 4 training sessions a week. Usually two sessions of grippers, rh and hub a week. For now I just bend as much as I can, I dont really have a plan for that yet. I´ll just log the grip training, though I do train other stuff the same session. 1/8 CoC #3 (152) - Really bad LH: 2 1 1 1 RH: 1 1 0 0 Hub: 3 set 2/8 RH - Almost.. better than last time. LH: 72,5 kg x 0 65 kg x 4 3 3 3 3 RH: 72,5 kg x 0 65 kg x 3 3 2 2 1 DO - The wrapping was shit. It usually is. 3 x 5 mm x 6" ss 1 x 5 mm x 6" sq crs 3 x 5 mm x 5" sq crs 3/8 DU - At least I´ve kinked the yellow in all disciplins now. 3 x 5 mm x 6" ss 1 x 5 mm x 6" sq crs 3 x 5 mm x 5" sq crs 0 x yellow 4/8 CoC #3 (152) - Suprisingly good. LH: 3 3 3 2 1 RH: 2 2 1 1 0 Comment: Wife is out of town so hitting the gym as much as I can. Maybe fatgrip deadlift and DO tomorrow if it feels ok.
Weakman
5/8 FGX 110 kg x 3 2 1 2 DO - So bad, really shit today. 1 x 5 mm x 6" sq crs 2 x 5 mm x 5" sq crs 0 x yellow Blockbuster - Stupid left thumb doesn't like 3". LH: 15 kg x 5 17,5 kg x 2 2 1 RH: 15 kg x 5 17,5 kg x 3 3 3 Comment: Pretty standard session even if it was fifth grip training in a row. No more attempts on the yellow for now. I need to find some nice piece of steel to fill the gap between my 5mm x 5" sq crs and the yellow nail and for sure I need to get my form solid. Still upsetting over the yellow attempt, worst try ever. Good back workout though.
Weakman
7/8 RH - Not able to increase from last week. Left hand was weak. LH: 65 kg x 4 3 2 3 2 2 RH: 65 kg x 3 3 2 2 1 1 DU - Hell yeah, finally killed that yellow nail! Twice! 1 x 6 mm x 6" sq crs 1 x 5 mm x 5" sq crs 2 x yellow Platecurl - Not usually do this exercise but felt ok. LH: 5 kg x 10 10 10 RH: 5 kg x 10 10 10 9/8 CoC #3 (152) - Ok, only intended to do singles today. LH: 1 1 1 1 1 RH: 1 1 1 1 1 DO - LOL. Stupid me for trying even though I said I wont in previous post. So bad character. 1 x 5 mm x 6" sq crs 2 x 5 mm x 5" sq crs 0 x yellow Hub LH: 10 kg x 10 10 10 RH: 10 kg x 5 5 5 Comment: So finally some progress on the yellow nail. Did 2 nails, both prekinked, 1* and maby 15*. Leftovers from previous sessions. I will of course go for yellow next session again with DU, but for DO I need some step between 5 mm x 5" sq crs and the yellow. I´ll buy home some 6 mm square crs and some 6 mm stainless. Unfortunately I think they will be to heavy.
Weakman
11/8 FGX - Maybe too long rest pauses but otherwise ok. 110 kg x 3 3 3 2 2 DU - Nice result but bad technique. Need to focus more on form. 1 x 5 mm x 5" sq crs 4 x yellow Hub - Not recovered at all. Aborted after first lift. Comments: Mainly lifting with my head today, not really recovered since the weekend. Weakman
13/8 CoC #3 F (162) - Get stuck at the point where handle is parallel to filled surface. LH: 0 0 0 RH: 0 0 0 DO - Better form this time but still no power transition to the bar when attempting the yellow. 2 x 5 mm x 5" sq crs 0 x yellow Comments: Really weak today, the benchpress was a disaster. Hopefully in beginning of next week I´ll receive some new steel so in can close the gap between 5 mm sq and yellow.
Weakman
15/8 RH - The left is not really working atm while right is getting better. LH: 65 kg x 2+2F 2 3 4 4 RH: 65 kg x 3 3 3 2 2 DU - Short of 5 mm steel so I went for blue. A bit of a struggle but finally I´m in no mans land between blue and red. With better form I think there is still room for improvement! 1 x 5 mm x 5" sq crs 1 x yellow 1 x blue 17/8 CoC #3.5 (171) - Misstake. Was suppose to get my #3 (155) but brought the wrong gripper to the gym. Best attempt ever though on 3.5 with left, maybe 2-3 mm apart. LH: 0 0 0 RH: 0 0 0 Hub - Best series ever though but I think there might have been some chalk left on my hands from the gripper. 11,25 kg is 1 RM with right hand lol. LH: 10 kg x 10 11.25 kg x 10 10? RH: 10 kg x 10 11.25 kg x 6 5 Comments: Lost my wrap today so couldn´t bend. Didn´t got any 5 mm steel anyways so maybe not a big deal.
Weakman
18/8 FGX - Plan was to do 2 or even 3 reps but I failed second rep. Accepted the loss after 5 attempts or so and lowered the weight. Not good. 110 kg x 1 90 kg x 8 8 8 8 8 DU - Only ~15* kink on second blue. If I dont smash it in a second or two I really have to struggle. No time for proper rest today. I´ll continue next session. 1 x yellow 2 x blue Comments: Got my supply of steel today. Hopefully I have time to cut it up and calibrate it during the week. Weakman
20/8 CoC #3 F (162) - Ok LH: 0 0 0 0 0 RH: 0 0 0 0 0 Hub - Probably some chalk left today aswell from grippers. Would have been pb otherwise. If I chalk up I think the CTD hub is easy piece. LH: 10 kg x 10 12.5 kg x 5 5 5 RH: 10 kg x 10 12.5 kg x 4 2 1+10 kg x 7 DO - No time to cut up steel. Knew it was to hard. Barely kicked it. 0 x yellow Comments: Good job. A bit stressful since it was lunchtraining.
Weakman
20/8 Reverse - 2 nails with different hand setup switching anchor and driver. 2 x yellow Comments: Went to the gym a second time for some cardio. Since the DO sucked earlier today i thought reverse would be a good idea. The kink and crushdown is quite easy but sweep is really my weak point for reverse style. Not really able to transition any force to the bar, similar to the DO where the kink is the problem.
Weakman
22/8 RH - WTF, my fatbar is not good atm. Not sure about the reps. LH: 65 kg x 4 4 3 3 3 70 kg x 1 RH: 65 kg x 2 3 2 2 2 67,5 x 0 DU - Really need to cut up steel because the blue one turn quit easy. 1 x yellow 3 x blue Platecurls - 10 reps with 5 kg immediately followed by 3 fail reps on a 10 kg plate. LH: 5 kg x 10 10 10 + 10 kg x 3F 3F 3F RH: 5 kg x 10 10 10 + 10 kg x 3F 3F 3F 23/8 CoC #3 (155) - I think my hard #3 is slippery and needs a proper cleaning. Or I just suck. LH: 1 1 0 0 RH: 0 0 0 0 Hub - Still going strong. LH: 10 kg x 10 12,5 kg x 5 4 4 RH: 10 kg x 10 11.25 kg x 2 2 5 DO - Tried some different attack angles and so on. Disaster. 0 x yellow Comments: Not the best sessions but at least the benchpress was back on track. So strange that I touch pb on RH after working sets are done while pb attempt on 72,5 kg doesn't go up. Crazy that some dudes here curl 10, 15 kg or even more. The torque is just massive even with 10 kg not parallel to floor.
Weakman
24/8 FGX - 110 kg is too heavy at the moment. Maybe I´ll go for fatgripz for a couple of weeks. 110 kg x 2 2 1 112,5 x 1 0 0 +110 kg x 0 + 90 kg x 10 DU - Felt good today, very fast bends. 1 x yellow 3 x blue Comments: Running low on yellows soon. Huge workload at work at the moment so not very keen on wasting training hours to cut up more steel. Maybe I´ll just do DO for a while so I don't waste any steel lol.
Weakman
26/8 CoC #3 (152) - Ok, maybe some small closes. LH: 4 3 2 1 1 0 RH: 3 2 1 1 0 0 Reverse - Maybe the wrap was shit or it was just not my day. Struggled as hell and probably broke my wrist but I just couldn't get pass 45* 0 x yellow Hub - Thumb is really dead now LH: 12,5 kg x 5 5 5 RH: 12,5 kg x 1 + 11,25 kg x 5 11,25 kg x 5 5 Comments: Reverse was a disappointment but others was ok. Thinking of buying a Rolling Thunder but shipping to Europe seems to last forever these Covid days.
Weakman
29/8 RH - So so close to 72,5 kg with left. Only dismissed since it was a 1 RM pr attempt. If it was only a random rep I would've approved it. LH: 72,5 kg x 0 65 kg x 4 4 2 3 3 RH: 72,5 kg x 0 65 kg x 4F 3 2 2 3 DU - Ending up in an infant position. Don't think that is ok so I'm trying to not go too low when finishing the bend. 1 x yellow 4 x blue 30/8 CoC #3 (152) - Imaginary blocksets. Not cool. LH: 0 0 0 0 RH: 0 0 0 0 Comments: Solid bench today as well. Gripper though was a big disappointment. Finally, if not forward, at least not a step backward with the RH. So damn close to 72,5 kg now. I will change gym in a month or so, where chalk hopefully is allowed. Therefor there will be an max attempt on all handles without chalk within this last month or so. Of 3 handles, six hands, I think 3 new pbs is ok and reasonable, 4 or more is hallelujah.
Weakman
13/9 RH - Best session ever so far. 72,5 kg for sure would have gone up. LH: 65 kg x 5 5 5 5 3 3 RH: 65 kg x 4 4 4 2 2 2 DU - Second blue was a real struggle. Super annoying that I had to re wrap 3 times and rubber bands broke. I really need to get some extra wraps. 1 x yellow 2 x blue Blockbuster - Trying to get some volume. A pb this month will be hard. LH: 15 kg x 4 5 2 10 kg x 10 10 10 RH: 15 kg x 2 4 4 10 kg x 10 10 10 Hammer wrist curl - Just feeling out the exercise. 3 set 15/9 CoC #3 (152) - Right hand really sucks at the moment. LH: 4 4 3 2 0 RH: 0 2 2 0 0 Hub - Feels ok. Hopefully pbs on both hands soon. LH: 10 kg x 10 10 10 RH: 10 kg x 8 8 7 Comments: Long time. Been busy doing other stuff. Only missed out one session but other sessions have not been that good. Sundays session though was really awesome.

Weakman
17/9 Fatgripz - Felt really good in my hands today so 1 rep on top set was a disappointment. Last sessions with fgx has been so bad so I used original fgs for a change. 130 kg x 5 140 kg x 1 135 kg x 3 135 kg x 1 + 130 kg x 3 130 kg x 4 4 Fatgripz curl - Like this exercise but biceps usually does not approve. 4 set Plate curls - Just for fun 3 set Comments: Rest pauses on fatgripz are not really ok, a bit to long. Skipped bending today since I have no rubber bands for the wrap. Not sure when I can fix that so it might be a short bending break for now. Weakman
15/9 CoC #3 (152) - So so bad right hand atm. Nothing is working. The strange thing is that warm up always feels better and more solid with right hand. LH: 3 3 3 2 0 RH: 0 0 0 0 0 Hub - Hands not feeling very well so this was ok. LH: 15 kg x 0 13,75 kg x 0 11,25 kg x 8 8 8 RH: 13,75 kg x 0 13,75 kg x 0 11,25 kg x 8 8 8 20/9 RH - Bad max attempts, not even close. LH: 72,5 kg x 0 65 kg x 5 3 3 3 3 RH: 71,25 x 0 65 kg x 4 4 3 3 3 DO - Prekinked blue nail but who cares. Finally the yellow got down today and if I just get passed the kink I think the blue will fall as well. 1 x yellow 1 x blue DU - Was not expecting to waste 2 nails in DO there for so few nails today. 2 x blue Blockbuster - Pretty good, no pain in thumb. LH: 12,5 kg x 8 8 8 RH: 12,5 kg x 8 8 8 Comments: Not really recovered since thursday. Very nice to finally kill off the yellow nail in DO. Though, 6 max attempts and no pr. Still two more weeks to go until I max out. I was aiming for 20 kg increase, now I´m actually satisfied if I gain 6,25 kg.
Weakman
22/9 CoC #2.5 (132) - Did not feel 100% today so stepped down to #2.5. In a hurry as well. LH: 8 7 7 5 6 5 RH: 6 5 5 5 4
Weakman
24/9 Wristroller 5 set Chins, Nunchuck 2 2 2 25/9 DO - One step back, barely kinked it. 0 x yellow Wristcurl 3 set 26/9 CoC #2.5 (132) - Still not 100% in hands. Finished of with some CCS sets on #2. LH: 7 6 5 X X RH: 6 6 6 4 4 Hub - Mediocre LH: 10 kg x 10 12,5 kg x 5 4 2 RH: 10 kg x 10 11,25 kg x 5 4 2 27/9 RH - Really bad max attempts again. Damn, not sure at all that I will progress here. LH: 72,5 kg x 0 65 kg x 5 4 4 2 3 RH: 71,25 x 0 65 kg x 4 3 3 3 3 Blockbuster - Finally some progress. Hell, even only 1,25 kg up that pr actually feels great. LH: 20 kg x 1 22,5 kg x 0 20 kg x 1 RH: 20 kg x 1 21,25 kg x 0 20 kg x 0 Comments: I did not expect that pr so I´m very happy today. Long story short that is first pr in 1,5 years. So many failed pr attempts and just one tiny kg up and its all worth it. One must be really stupid. Weakman
29/9 CoC #2.5 (132) 20 mm block - Plan is to increase numbers for each session and starting out easy. This was more heavy then I expected. LH: 3 3 2 RH: 3 3 2 CoC #2.5 (132) CCS - Same numbers as 3 years ago, one could complain about the progress. LH: 2 1 1 RH: 2 1 1 Comments: Not good at all. I also used chalk so really no excuse for sucking today. Got pain in tendom/muscle between thumb and index finger. It does not restrict force generation but feels intense if I touch area. Not sure if this originates from grippers or last pinch session.
Weakman
3/10 CoC #2.5 (132) 20 mm block - Last 3 sets were controlled singles. LH: 2 3 2 2 1 1 1 RH: 3 3 2 1 1 1 1 Hub - All attempts on right was good. Done better 15 kgs attempts with left. LH: 15 kg x 0 13,75 kg x 1 15 kg x 0 RH: 12,5 kg x 1 13,75 kg x 0 0 Comments: 2 new prs but still not satified. I think (hopefully) I can add 1,25 kg on both hands. Max attempts on RH and pinchblock was canceled due to flue. A couple of days off then I´ll go lifting again.
Weakman
12/10 CoC #2.5 (132) 20 mm block - So strange, I suck just as much with no chalk as with chalk. LH: 2 2 2 2 2 1 RH: 3 3 2 2 2 2 2 HP - Every set was started with an attempt with one hand. No air. 40 kg x 5 5 5 13/10 Wristroller - Just to get the blood running. 3 set Nunchuck - Slippery. Had to regrip after each rep. 1+1 1+1 1+1 Comments: Only trained at work so no access to my handles.
Weakman
18/10 CoC #2.5 (132) 20 mm block - Finally some progress. LH: 4 3 4 2 3 RH: 5 4 3 4 3 19/10 1 H Platepinch (2 x 15 kg) - Might be some more reps on left but right is pretty close to max. LH: 5 5 5 5 5 RH: 3 3 3 3 3 Wristroller - Pump 3 set Comments: Missed to log some sessions but nothing fancy missed. Only done grippers since all my gear is in boxes. Recently moved so looking for a descent gym, hopefully I get a membership this week and can start with the fatbar/fatgripz/RH again. The garage is a mess so I don´t know when I can cut up and prep some steel for bending. I really would like to get back on bending track.
Weakman
24/10 RH - New handle! Maybe mental but pretty much same numbers as with my own handle. That 72,5 kg still spits me in the face. LH: 70 kg x 1 72,5 x 0 65 x 3 3 3 RH: 70 kg x 1 65 x 3 3 1 1 H Platepinch (2 x 15 kg) - New plates! 2 different setups one harder than the other. So damn sharp edges. Didn't wanna push to much, first session on new gym and wooden floor. LH: 1 1 1 RH: 0 0 0 26/10 CoC #2.5 (132) 20 mm block - Better and better. LH: 6 5 4 4 4 3 RH: 5 4 4 4 3 2 1 H Platepinch (2 x 15 kg) - Initially not so good but felt better for each set. LH: 5 5 5 RH: 3 3 3 Comments: Pretty awesome that my new gym has RH and loading pin in its equipment! Also nice plates for pinching. Maybe one should add 4 x 5 kg and 2 x 20 kg pinch lift to To-Do list.
Weakman
2/11 CoC #3 (152) 20 mm block - Second #3 block session. Will do 1 more session and hopefully get up to 75-80% close. LH: 1 1 1 0 RH: 0 1 0 0 1 H Platepinch (2 x 15 kg) - Felt good today. I think I could go for +1 rep at least on left next time. LH: 5 5 5 RH: 3 3 3 Comments: Actually more training than usually but no time to log. I´ll try to get better. Thinking of getting the MM0 cert, I think I´m there.
