If I would like to start climbing, where to go first? Are there some exercises to get into it? I have access to a climbing wall in my unit, so it would be good to use it.

You don't need any pre-requisites. Just start! Having a good base of fitness and light bodyweight will help, but is not required. For someone completely new, I'd recommend training pull-ups and dead hangs to compliment your climbing.
