JakeNS Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 I'm curious if anyone has tried out a few different anvil trainers, and how your max lifts compared one to the other. For example IM Little BigHorn vs David Horne's HorneTop? Quote Jake Sahlaney https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPUg-I2AK-5w6Yccs1rexoA http://www.fatbastardbarbellco.com/

JakeNS Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 I talk about how a few different anvil trainers compare in this video: I've been able to lift the most weight on the Sorinex Anvil Trainer. Thanks. Awesome video Eric, that helps me out a lot! Nice anvil collection to. I've been searching for one but it's hard to find one that's in driving distance and not outrageously priced. ImpGrip Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 (edited) where do you guys get anvils from?? kinda want to grab one just picked up a little big horn Edited May 29, 2017 by ImpGrip Quote
Eric Roussin Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 eBay, craigslist, kijiji, etc. You definitely want to try to get one close enough for you to pick it up. Shipping can get crazy expensive. Expect to pay $2-$3 per pound. Adam Juncker Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Antique farm equipment shows typically have at least one person selling blacksmithing stuff. Be prepared for an auction environment and/or to pay $2-$3 per lb though. It's a sellers market on old stuff like that especially with cable TV and blacksmithing coming back. Quote
