Eric Roussin
Apparently there isn't video of anyone doing this lift in very strict fashion. It does seem surprising, yet the challenge was originally issued on an armwrestling board, frequented by many elite pullers and no one ever stepped up. I'd love to see someone film this feat and post it!
jvance
Simply to curl a 100-lb dumbbell with strict form. Here's an example video of Rob Vigeant Jr., the guy who originally threw out the challenge: What is suppose to be so hard about doing this? Am I missing something?
Stephen Ruby
Brian, that thumb on the round side is the REAL DEAL!!!!! Thanks Jedd. It is on the top of my list when it comes to pinch grip feats that I have done. Very difficult! I had another guy post the video a few years ago of the 3 35's lift and he took it down off youtube. I have been working on a few lifts that I want to get done in the near future and I will post some training videos soon. Subscribed I look forward to the new videos you put up both of strongman and grip,. You are the strongest in the world no doubt. Hope your left hand heals up also. EricMilfeld
I think the hardest part of the 100 pound curl challenge for Brian will be attempting to make it look like something resembling difficult.

Autolupus
Hey thanks for all of the comments! I have not been on the grip board in a long time but I am going to try to stay more active on here! I didnt get this uploaded yesterday but I just did and figured I would share it with you. I have to say this is one of the toughest pinch grip lifts that I have ever done. Blobzilla lift with the thumb on the rounded side: Since things get to be kind of crazy in my gym after these lifts I challenged Burke to a Blobzilla lift for reps head to head. I was only able to use my right hand since I am recovering from some nerve damage in my left hand. I let Burke use both his right and left hand. The challenge was to lift Blobzilla off the ground about a foot under control without dropping it. We took turns and ended at 40 total reps each but I told him I won because I only got to use one hand! Haha. Best Blob feat to date!
lifesnotfair
I just had a thought. I wonder what you guys think..... I read the Mastery of Hand Strength by John Brookfield and have been a member of this board since 2006.... back then, it seemed the Blob was a really big deal. Also all the discussion of regular blobs vs. "Fat Man" blobs vs. legacy blobs vs. GordonV's Blob50 replicas, etc. etc. etc.... I gotta say, fast forward to 2013, and you have guys Clean+Pressing BLOBZILLA, and lifting it with the thumb on the ROUNDED SIDE!! That is un-freakin believable. I suspect, if more people cut these legacy blobs and Blobzilla is made more available, in the next 5-10 years a few dozen men will lift it (just a lift, thumb on flatter side). So my thought is this: is Blobzilla nowdays wha the old regular Blob was, 10-15 years ago??? Sort of in the same way that an Ironmind #3 close (with a parallel set) is not really a "big deal" anymore, in terms of the amount of people capable of reaching said feat, but judging from old posts on this board (2002-2003) it used to be considered a big deal. slazbob
Only the no.4 has held its luster. Of all the parallel set closes, none were really done with a RGC over 210. Maybe 2, or 3 can... with a new one.
Alawadhi
Number one pinch feat on video ever! I can think of no one besides Laine Snook to duplicate it.
