RH  Corcorran choked #3.5 (180cpw).

5 singles at 25mm...

2 singles at 30mm

Tore a spot on right palm under middle finger...a new one for me. 

I think the choked gripper is forcing me to set the gripper properly. 

I will start at 30 mm when hand heals up.

Pretty much in hardcore ketosis at the moment.  Trying/needing to drop serious weight.  I had topped out at 297.  Currently in the 265-275 range...hoping to settle 225"ish".

Two questions:

are the “SSNW” something separate or are these workouts the Ninja protocol?

i too am trying to get to that 225ish body weight. What are your future competition plans so we could possibly compete together, pound for pound?

Unlike my first SSNW (Red Nail Training and Cert), this SSNW revolves around a personal pet project that's not a certification.   

Despite being amazingly cool and quite possibly the ultimate workout...it is not ready to share with the world yet.

I will be only be attending King Kong as an assistant, but I accept your challenge.  Hmmmmm.....

 

Let us meet at Legends 19...Legend Class and fight to our last breaths! 

Let the loser's purse be plundered for a mighty bar tab that shall ensue!

At risk of using the same Youtube video over and over...

I’m going but not at 225. I would need to lose a leg to get to that weight.

Played around with 65lb IDL lift today...got 8 good lifts Righty...zero lefty.  Annnnnnnndddd...in case this is creeping up on "video or it didn't happen" territory...here's a video.

SSNW tested badly today.  :( 

Grippers

RH  GHP8 (167cpw)

5 x 25mm  eyeball not block .  Solid closes but they felt harder than they should.  Stopped when tore open palm again.

 

LH  GHP6 (138cpw) 

4 x 25-30mm

 

New toy arrived. :)  Apparently 30kg is above average and 35kg is World Class.

pulled 25kg in plates testing...tested badly so I put it off to another day.

53kg Thick Dumbbell

1/1, 1/1, 1/1, 1/1, 1/1 TV 5/5 = 10 = (1180)  Note to self...magweight dumbell from 118 to 124 next session.

Was getting tired...realized I haven't ate in 20 hours. 

Keto works great but I'm dropping weight so quickly it's affecting energy levels.

Matt, John, Wayne, Juliet, Rich are coming by later for a grip session. 

Pretty much have an open grip house Monday and Thursday evenings.  Hit me up if you are gonna be in the area.

Platform Double Sledge (40)

1, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3   TV = 15 = 600  Glad I did this.  It's coming back slowly but surely.

Had a blast with the grip peeps.  Very little real work (for me)...mostly coaching and feats (glad I worked out earlier).  Randomly pulled 130kg on Andrew's Axle.  Probably within 10kg of my max.

Got 3 x 25lbs on video...woulda tried 2 x 3 x 25 but was missing a plate.  Rich Cottrell made the trip...been way too long since we hung out.  Wayne is coming along nicely.  Juliet is a beast (nothing but good) and it's great to see Matt Kraenbring back gripping and ripping.  Met a new guy John Fuss...definitely a natural...strong lifts all night long.  Tore bottlecaps to end the evening.  Great fun.

Weird workout.  Matt and John showed up.  I'll call this...The day few things tested well. 

 

I have finally decided to man up and become a 2 x 45 plate pincher.  My goal is to lift 2x45 with one hand by Christmas.

So in that vein...Today I worked 2x45 with 2 hands...passing it back and forth.  Afterwards, did 2 hand holds for time.

It's obvious that it's taxing my thumbs bigtime.  If I want to do this in a timely manner (read Christmas), I'm going to have to avoid tearing my thumbs up.

 

Platform Double Sledge (40) 1,1,1,2,3,3,4  TV = 15 =   600

Finnish Ball  (48)  1/1, 1/1, 2/2, 2/2, 2/2, 1/2  TV = 9/10 = 19 = 912

Had worked my way up to 25kg...got a ways to go before hitting above average (30kg).

Matt Kraenbring awkwardly bent 2 blue nails.  It's obvious that he could cert Red in like 2 months if he could get the technique down. 

I'm willing to help him as long as he shows interest.

I would say that this paired with volume of say 2x35 pinch would make an excellent strategy. Thanks for the idea!

Going all the way back to Reinard vs. Johnson...Daniel also pulled on 35's with added weight (stringed weights through the middle).
